    Hi everyone,

I hope that, like me, you’ve enjoyed the return to football over the past five days in which we’ve had some really encouraging results.

It's early days here as it is everywhere else but we’ve seen plenty enough to be able to look forward with a bit of hope in our hearts.

Last night the kids were great in their attitude and rightly so the result came their way, albeit late on. I thought they showed a great level of maturity, and along with some of our more senior players, stayed patient and got their just rewards.

Billy Gibson, Lewis Young, Ross Jenkins – they all played a really big part in the win and that can’t be underestimated. It again underlines that the one thing we can offer young aspiring footballers at this club is a real chance to progress.

Saying that they are only babies, so don’t go expecting them to be involved every week, only time will tell how they progress with us, and I’ll be careful not to overexpose them at this delicate time of their development.

I mentioned how pleased I had been with Will Hoskins and Tamas Priskin last week and I think you can see why now.

Will took his goal really well last night, he gets in some great positions, works really hard and is starting to settle into life here now following a chequered start. He might just be one of those players who surprises you in a season, so we’ll hope to see some more from him.

Tamas had a very different game to that of Will’s on Saturday, but he never shirked his responsibility, got battered and bruised, but gave as good as he got.

This weekend we’ve got Charlton at home and we’ll be looking to make this a really positive start with a result at home.

We’ve kept two clean sheets so far and have already shown that if you do that you only need a goal to win a game – so if we start on that basis against Charlton we’ll give ourselves a good chance.

We’ll also welcome Hameur Bouazza back on Saturday, for the first time since he left for Premiership football at the start of last season. Mind you Hameur’s got to find the ground first given that he was the one giving Collins John directions when he got lost on the ring road!

    Come on!

    Interesting...

Doesn't really give away too much about who is likely to get the CF shirt on Saturday out of Priskin / Hoskins. But at the same time doesn't even mention that he is still trying to sign a striker...

Therefore, hints that the deal may be done and whoever it is (Rasiak?) will start there Saturday.

As for getting a Frenchman to give directions to a Dutchman on Watford ring road- what does he expect!

Is this Aidy stirring the already bubbling pot?
