Hi everyone, It’s that time again – time again to play football and to chase some wins. I’m glad the season’s here and I am sure you are too because it gives us all something to focus on and puts a stop to endless speculation, rumours and gives us all a good dose of reality. This season is different to that of last year and even the one before expectation-wise. There’s been a lot written and spoken over the past weeks and months about the Club, about players and about the squad, but what I can honestly say is that the players and I will always give our best. I’m particularly pleased with the likes of Tamas Priskin and Will Hoskins, whose attitude has been great and although goals haven’t exactly flowed in pre-season if they keep doing the things they are then goals will follow. At the moment we’ve one new face in Jon Harley – the goal machine judging by his pre-season record – but we’re still working hard on one or two more deals that we are all hopeful of achieving provided we can move players out. This Saturday’s game against Crystal Palace will be a good acid-test for us; up against a wily old adversary in Neil Warnock, who’ll have his side as geed-up as ever against us young bucks. For those of you going, thanks in advance. I know that more than ever this season football will be expensive for you all, but I want you to know from the outset that everyone, and I mean everyone at this club, appreciates your support. Last season, away from home, we were awe-inspiring at times, and I really hope we can continue in that vein this season. Of course, we also want to entertain and win at home, and our first chance to do that will be on Tuesday night against Bristol Rovers, so if you are able to it’d be great to see you back at the Vic so you can all fine-tune your throats for Saturday’s match against Charlton. So get ready, the real stuff is back, and for the first time this season… Come on!
Translation: We're stripped bare, even I can't put a spin on it. I'm only here now to collect my paycheques until I get offered a job at another Champ club. Love Aidy.
He must have written that prior to Danny leaving..... who else does he have to farm out? Is there anyone left?
Pretty predictable. No I'm not talking about Aidy's email, I'm talking about the ranting on this forum. There's nothing he could have written that would have created some postivism here.
