Fortunately he has Banguras problems to hide behind.
It would have been interesting how he would have filled the page without him.

A total white wash. He will eventually have to put his hands up and admit that he got something wrong rather than deflect it purely on the players.

for those who don't get it:

    Hi everyone,
It’s difficult to talk about football in a week such as this, when the life of one of our young players is placed in jeopardy such as in Al Bangura’s case.
I’m sure you have all seen and read about the hearing that Al and I were at on Monday, where we gave evidence to support his quite legitimate case – as I see it – to stay in the country.
It’s only when you hear the sort of detail that I did, that you realise that life always puts football into perspective.
And this is what we are talking about, a young man’s life, nothing more, and nothing less. It doesn’t matter that Al’s a footballer, a bricklayer, a shop assistant, that’s not the point.
The point is that here is a young man, who from the age of 15 – 15, for goodness sake – had to leave everything behind and rebuild his whole world, day by day.
I can only imagine the strength and courage that Al has had to summon up to do all of this, and still with a smile on his face. I think that’s why we all love Al the way we do.
We’ve now got to play a waiting game, but in that time we’ll support Al and I know you will. It would have been brilliant for him to have heard you chanting his name at Barnsley at the weekend and more of the same won’t go amiss.
On the football front, our last two results have clearly been a huge disappointment to us all, but we know what we’ve got to do to put things right and I’ve been very clear with the players about that. What has been said will always stay between me and the players, that’s only right, but I will not just accept the type of performance we saw on Tuesday night and I know they, as individuals, won’t either.
There’s another really difficult game at the weekend, against Gary Johnson’s Bristol side who, like us, have had a difficult month after a great start to the season. Don’t let that fool you though, they can beat anyone on their day and Gary will relish the chance to come back to his old club and nick some points.
As usual, your backing will be important, not least because we’ll be in front of the television cameras and we’ll have the opportunity to show that we truly are one team, all in this together.
    Come on!

Dismisses the most appalling performance imaginable with a few lines and the fact that it 'stays between me and the players..'

I agree mate. All that pish-posh about Bangura is just a total red-herring.

Aidy keeps saying we will sort it out! Far from sorting it out, the performances have beeen getting worse over the last 4 games.

He HAS to change the team for Saturday. Its times like this when our big squad should be taken advantage of. Its time to give Ellington, Mcnuff, Ainsworth, Francis etc a chance to show what they can do.

I agree, Aidy will have to have some really good reasons not to give a start to at least 3 out of those 4.

BTW do we know how Williams is progressing?

I'm not quite sure what you wanted him to come out and say.
He's hardly going to come out and lambust the players individually. He has said it's not acceptable and it's not, but no matter how unacceptable it was he is still going to keep it in house.
However if performances keep going the same way then he is going to start finding it very difficult to keep filling those emails with the same usual blah before everybody starts demanding answers. The emails are a good idea from his point of view when things are rosey but as soon as they start going pear shaped then he may start squirming a little.

HAHAHAHAHA, two bad performances? Have you only been to two games then?!

And no, we won't be top of the league come Saturday at 19:05!

Agreed...whatever people say about him he would get far more crosses into the box from the left flank than Kabba.

There were some of us on here who were pointing out the short comings in our performances when we were well clear at the top and were lambasted as miseries. The fact remains we have turned in some some very good performances, but many have our points have been due to the mediocrity of other teams, and having seen all games apart from 1 this season there have been many occasions when we've been very poor indeed.
We have a squad that is good enough to win this league and most probably will, butonly if we utilise the depth in our playing staff that we have. Why not ring the changes, it would have been far better to have done so when we had a large points cushion at the top but Macca is certainly a more credible left winger than Kabba, Jobi will hopefully be back soon, Ellington and Priskin can't be expected to sit on the bench forever especially while Hendo is struggling . No point in paying the wages of such a large squad if we aren't going to utilise them.

    Spot on!

All this 'we're top of the league' crap a lot of people come out with on here is embarrasing!

If we're top of the league after Blackpool away then shout it from the roof tops by all means!!

This has been coming for a LONG TIME now!
