Watford manager Aidy Boothroyd admits he has been glued to his television set as he bids to bolster his team's survival hopes. Boothroyd is desperate to pep up his squad when the transfer window reopens in January but concedes he has been struggling to keep track of the vast number of players being offered to him. The Hornets boss has been inundated with DVDs of potential new recruits, although he insists he has never signed a player on the strength of a video alone. "I would like to sign four or five new players if I can but it's not as easy as that - we have to find them and they must want to come," said Boothroyd. "There's been a big increase in the number of DVDs that fall onto my desk. I've had them from everywhere - Africa, Scandinavia, you name it. Most come from foreign fields but I've never signed anyone from a video - I want our scouts to go and watch them themselves. "We have one more game to knock off before the January transfer window and then hopefully we can bring in some players early in the month. "But I'm aware that any player that joins our club should not just think about the money. It's about the environment, the vision and what we can offer. I play quite a big part in that because obviously the player is choosing to come and work for me as well."
Ahhh good news, does this mean we are going to get a bunch of super-talented players capable of lifting us out of releagtion and into the champions league ;D;D;D
