Aidy under pressure?

Seems like to me a few Watford fans (not on here) generally have slighty reserved thoughs on the man who got us promoted from nothing?

Now all managers will have questions asked of them throughout any spell (even the top ones ofcourse) and there have been a few problems this season but should relegation happen and we are not one of the promotion chasing sides for a return to the Premiership do you think AB will be put under some pressure by the board/supporters?

Or does he really have the full backing of Simpson and co?

I think what concerns some fans is the signings made this season and style of football which is a valid point because we have all debated how it could be improved but personally think Boothroyd is a top man is sometimes a little too over optimistic with regard to us getting into Europe!

He will have full backing. e got us into the PrL and thus the club loads of cash. Furthermore, he is a big part of Ash being sold for nearly 10 mio pounds. So I think he's got a lot of goodwill to draw upon.

Full 100% backing of the board IMO. They know a good thing when they see it, and most sensible fans realise we were promoted long before the team was ready for the Premiership.

If we don't perform too well in the Championship, (if we go down), then I can see a bit of pressure coming, but I think we'll be up there in the top 3 again next season with Aidy as boss.

    All valid points and correct.

He is making mistakes and what better place for him to do it? He can learn here and get better - and he needs to if he wants to be a top Prem coach / manager; after all, how many people can actually make it that far?

At the same time we can not pay big numbers for a decent manager, so we took a chance. So far it has worked and Aidy has been the club's best signing since?????????????, Ashley Young signed pro forms.

One question. Get rid of Aidy and replace him with what - Lewington, a bald Italian millionnaire with his tongue up his backside, Coleman, Curbishley, Worthington, Micky Adams, Sven, Pardew - none of these are better and Aidy can only improve. Question answered.

I think he's got the full backing of the board, shareholders, groundsmen and 99% of fans. I still think he's the man for the job - his enthusiasm does appear ridiculous sometimes but his motivational skills are second to none.

IF we do go down (it's not over yet), we'll be a force next season: mark my words.

He has a big supporter in the Canadian West, I wish he could be as bold this year as he was last, after all, we've nothing to lose!
I shudder to think of who could follow him, perhapsd with the exception of Kenny Jacket.
