...to the toilet at half time like the rest of us!!! WELLDONE....AIDY BOOTHROYD! He could see what was wrong, but unfortunately you cannot change things immediately, BUT his business deals in the transfer window were spot on! Gavin Mahon...cheers for your service, loyalty and hardwork, but not good enough for where we are going!...BYE Marlon King...cheers for all the goals in your short reign as KING for the club, thoroughly enjoyable, but if you dont want to be here...BYE Sadler...welcome to the full time position of left back...solid, good touch, in control...HELLO Eustace...welcome to the full time position of No.8....HELLO Bromby...it has taken a long time to replace Lee Sinott...HELLO Collins John... you know it makes sense!!! Hope it all works out!!!...HELLO AIDY you had your doubters, some real fickle pri.cks trying to get rid of you, but I think your January transfer window business was a roaring success... We actually look like a side that can play football and are in control... LBH... And now Marlon has moved up in to the big time at wigan...dont our strikers look like they have received a new lease of life!!!... COME ON YOU GOLDEN BOYS!!!!
But no real quality. Champions 07/08 fizzy pop. Relegation 08/09 fine by me - but all the canuts will be calling for Aidys head again, whinging that he didn't buy quality to keep us in the premeirship and we shouldn't have let Ash, Hammer and King go. One win and its all ucking roses again. We won't be good enough to stay up - we may get lucky as the two teams going up with us will struggle more than us so that leaves one place for relegation - Far to big a gap between fizzy pop and premiership. So if the fickle canuts can't accept relegation and yo yo seasons until we attract the quality players and our own youngsters grow and develop - the fickle fan may as well uck off now to Arsenal.
I'm not fickle. I'm constant in my scepticism. I'd settle for yo yoing for a couple of seasons though.
You are indeed a reliable constant Moogy - that is indeed very refreshing. YOYO is fine by me, exciting and if we can just have some more luck than last season and make more of a fight of it next season, even if we do go down will be damn exciting.
As the greedy big clubs have connived in contriving to destroy the fabric of what used to make the English Football League so unique & special, you're really left with unenviable choices: 1. Stop bothering about professional football altogether 2. Support your local non-league club 3. Accept that the best a club like ours can hope for is the occassional season in the Prem, some good cup runs, and hopefully not going bankrupt For me, option (3) is the only possible choice, and so I am resigned to the fact that the best I can hope for is a promotion to the Prem every few years, getting mullered for a whole season whilst hopefully not disgracing ourselves, taking enough money to stay solvent and have enough good players to get us to a Semi now & again so we can have a good day out & be patronised by the media. In that context, anyone who can actually get us into the Prem deserves our gratitude as it means we'll still be in existence in a few years' time. Any other aims are frankly deluded.
And as for you Paddy - I've just had only my second ever Royal Flush online, with some poor sod betting into me with his 'trips' ...... joy.
Never ever seen a royal flush in my life - never seen one dealt in real life. Hope you skinned all the canuts. A distinct lack of humour around today. Andy J had a great send off - good to see some old faces on Friday.
I've been canvasing for Aidy to go because of the football he's been playing SINCE SEPTEMBER Not that Fickle ! Get a grip read the other threads and what people have acctually posted and then make a prat of yourself
I think most Watford fans agree that the style of football we have played since September has been pretty boring to watch, and particularly at home, pretty ineffective. However, there were signs on Saturday that we may just be turning a corner. Sadler and Eustace look as though they want to pass the ball, Bromby looked twice the player he did at Sheffield United and Ellington and Kabba actually looked dangerous. Add to that big Danny coming back and Hendo looking really good when he came on and perhaps things are looking up. One way or another we have managed to stay in the promotion places through this awful run. We've got an opportunity that we shouldn't miss, and we might just do it with a bit more style now the new players have arrived.
All this pish talk about not being entertaining has now started to be levied at Palarse who - as much as I hate to admit it - have been absolutely fantastic. They are like we used to be. Every opposition now jumps on the high moral ground 'ball on deck' gravy train as an excuse for the game. If people go to their club purely for entertainment, they are not proper supporters. The 2k who go every week to Port Vale sure as hell aren't entertained, and neither are 70% of the clubs in the Football League. In fact probably half the fans in the Premiership probably fall asleep half the time. Direct football is still football, and it is a very effective way of getting promotion. If Parlarse do go up with it I will say well done you cockney *******s and give them a pat on the back. Then watch them get relegated and laugh.
People who will pay to see ***** purely because it is their club. They can moan and complain and harass, but when it comes down to it, they will still go whether it is Premiersh!t or Division 4. That is it. If you pass that test, you are a proper fan in my book.
aidy has made this club a fortune, saved us from being wound up,sold players at a huge profit, some of his players he has signed have not worked out but thats football. Aidy will take us back to the prem and that will set us up very nicely. Calling on Aidy to go is pure madness..IMO
