why does he think that he is in a tv show or soap opera.. he repeated we will be back about 4 times in a 1.30 interview! he even said there were positves from tonight... what would those have been?
Well the fact that the first half was some of the best football we have played this season maybe? As was the first leg? Or maybe the fact that the last match and a half have shown that we are more than capable of creative, flowing football?
I can only presume it was to catch out Hull, and to be honest it did. At home, but for an awful ref and a superb goalkeeping display we'd have totally mugged them.
To a certain degree I can understand Aidy keeping faith with the 'direct' style after all it was good enough for one promotion, a respectable season in the Prem and an amazing start to this campaign. I believe that he would love to have changed the style some time ago but was frightened that such a change would lead to a dip in form. His comments recently around the style change that he intends can be read two ways. Firstly he may feel that he now has (or will have) a squad capable of better things or Secondly he may be just trying to placate the large percentage of WFC fans who no longer feel that he is the right man for the job. I will try and remain as positive as Aidy by saying that it is the former.
