Yes I just saw that too. This is good news and makes me feel a little happier. He also hinted at other changes. So lets keep Aidy there and get behind the team for next season!
It sounded like changes in the players (obviously) and maybe backroom staff. He didn't say it but I kind of got the feeling that's what he was getting at.
I was going to post a picture of an 4rse but thought better of it. We could have changed any time in the last 20 bl00dy games. It aint going to happen.
A year too late. He's clutching at straws. The whole of SW Herts knew we needed to change the style months ago, but the manager was the last to twig.
Haha. I actually laughed quite loudly at that. Get that bird who who makes the banners to photoshop a mullet onto Aidy. It could be classic.
said on 3 counties that: 1. he is going to change the style of play 2. there is a good foundation of youth such as priskin, marriappa and ainsworth 3. people will definitely be leaving and that he will be ruthless (maybe a veiled hint that lee will finally be departing as he has never trusted him) 4. he will need to assess what we need and bring it in 5. doesn't give a **** who goes up in addition as price understands (treat with a degree of scepticism) ellington definitely off to Derby and shittu also off destination unknown. Not sure how he gets his info maybe like the rest off them - friends mothers aunties nephew who plays for the under12s etc.
If all this is true i'll sleep happy tonight. I just hope his ideas on the deadwood are the same as most of the fans. Cheerio Shittu and Ellinglump, you're both crap, i just hope we can fool some other mugs into paying decent money for them.
Don't have a problem with that. In years to come we'll look back at the Ellington business and wonder what the fark was going on
Im sorry but this is all rubbish. If we play good football and lose a game, it will not take long for us to go back to the way it was. aidy must go. how can he talk about getting rid of people when his mistakes was the reason the team was playing bad.
Ok then. Please do tell me all the mistakes he made in the last two games? Aside from starting Henderson - who scored in the 12th minute anyway - he has got it absolutely spot on IMO.
Im judging are season on the 48 games not 2. we lost 6-1 how can he not of made mistakes they are his players his style of play. we were 1-0 up in the second leg and the team should of thrown everything at hull for a second goal but we did not. poom and jackson are on 20 grand a week between thats madness. its up to what rumours you believe what ellighton is on.
i think the price he quoted for ellington was £2.5m (bite their hands off) so if shittu goes thats around £5m say. Would be good business plus them leaving is not going to be too detrimental to the team.
God only knows what Nathan is on, but it must be in the region of 23k seeing as CJ turned down 22k to join us last year.
i agree in his 45mins whenever the ball came in the air he would look to pass it to one of our players. shittu just tries to clear it as far as possible he also loves to go roaming meaning he is out of position. Davenport looked composed and assured.
He would be in good company though with Francis, Williams etc. Why not bring Collins John back to join them in the treatment room.
ridiculous really no idea if he'll even be here to implment these changes tho to be honest even if he is here doubt they will happen. wont mind if ellington went though would be sad to shittu go
agreed, im hoping for the best for next season. But.. ... this is also why i'm not getting excited. I guess we will have to just wait and see. I suspect some changes in the playing staff will be forced on him by plan B. In which case ellington would go, especially if hes earning as much as people are saying and if we could get 2.5mil for shittu then he will be gone as well. shame really.
We need to cut some of the big-headed high earners lose. Ellington, Shittu, Francis, Jay and maybe Hendo. Free up some cash to invest in young-ish talent of CCC standard. Players who can perform at this level byut who also have the potential to develop into Prem players. Bring in Davenport, Johnson, a proper right back, a proper attacking mid and forward who doesn't mind scoring a few. We'll be alright.
Thats all jolly and wonderful but you need money to do that, to push for promotion we'll need at least £7 million IMO for 4/5 new players who CAN DO THE JOB
