Well that is nice of you to think that Mr Simpson but the trouble is who the hell is going to come in and take over the running of the club on and off the pitch with the lack of money and positive future ahead of us?

Surely if the board felt changes needed to be made the summer or last season would have been better timing?

Sounds like Simpson wanted to sack him (even if we'd won on Saturday) and tried to make sure Aidy agreed.

There is a little interview with him on the WO site.

Naturally we should support who ever the next manager is but he is going to have a very tricky job.

How about supporting the Chairman who does have a very tricky job?

Aidy was seen leaving Vicarage Road with his note pad, pencil and a huge box of KITKAT.

Not sure what's so tricky about it. We've got a good enough team to be mid-table comfortably, and I guess that's why Simpson has said "no more cash for you Mr Boothroyd". If someone comes in and get's 3 wins in a row we could be in the play-offs ffs.

Yeh fobbing us off with his lies! For example. To become a member of the board you need to invest at least £1,000,000 into the club. He then gets ashton onto the board and ejects the Russo's.
I along with many others do not believe or trust this Chairman at all.

Fair point and I am not saying Aidy wad perfect or the chairman is some kind of bent crock but my awwory is will we actually get anyone in or just have Mackay promoted which will make little different in my view.

I agree it's imperative we get someone other than Mackay in ASAP (and not this Ward bloke either).

With you all the way on that one yelnred.. says one thing, does another. The man has proved time and time and time again that he can't be trusted.

He COULD come out and be honest but he refuses to. All we ever hear is for legal reasons this cant be said and for personal reasons that cant be said and it "wouldnt be appropriate for me to say" blah blah blah

We asked where the moneys gone and he's told us, the wobby and the WST. Now let's just see if this can be backed up in the financial reports.

    (I doubt it)

Can you honestly see us bringing someone else in? I can't... not just yet anyway.

He'll let things die down first and Im pretty sure we'll see Malkay take charge of both Swansea games at the very least.

Because Aidy had so much to spend didnt he... look at the summer just gone... with a disastrous run of form and capitulation in the play offs, Aidy gets to bring in just one player on a free.

Sadler, Eustace and Bromby... combined £1million? Huge amount of money spent in January too (bearing in mind we'd just sold Marlon King)

I agree Aidy gambled previously and it didnt pay off but not many people on here were moaning when we originally brought in Ellington.. Hindsights a wonderful thing!

To be honest I feel in some people case...its WHAT they want to here rather than what is actually said so for some whatever Simpson might say is rubbish..

Like talking about how much has been spent on transfers etc.

Most accused him of lying about that so quite frankly what does he need to say to appease certain people apart from

"I've sold the club...thanks and goodbye"

No he won't say "I've nicked all the money and its all locked in my private safe at home" if we are honest!

From where I sit we have had a load of money but its been wasted on players and other areas of the club by various people and all the dosh for a new stand seems to have dissppeared too despite the claim it would be ringfenced.

However also don't feel the board are quite the robbing thieves some potray them as.

There was no dosh for the new stand. £3m was ringfenced for redevelopment. The majority was spent on works to date, the rest was released for the manager to waste even further.

Not saying he had masses to spend, I simply think Homer thought the squad was underperforming under his stewardship and didn't require strengthening further, which I tend to agree. He had an alright squad, then was given sanction to loan Ward and Rasiak to cover injuries.
