Just noticed this little bit on the BBC rumour column:

Reckon Aidy might be in the running? I'm sure he'll have impressed the right people in the FA with his career to date, added to that he has every badge going and has been on plenty of their courses plus **** Bate could put in a good word at Soho Square having worked their a couple of years back.

If it were Aidy I think on balance I'd support it as it'd give him a chance to gain additional skills and to work with some talented youngsters: some of whom might be impressed enough with him to want to work with him on a more regular basis. It's not that time consuming either...

    In principal yes, but.............

I would be a little worried that he might lose a little bit of focus on us :-\ :-\ :-\ After all you have to ask why is Peter Taylor giving it up ???

Peter Taylor has been doing it for a few years, probably not much more he can do.

Wouldn't be a bad thing, Aidy may learn new things as well.

Can't see it at the moment. Like it or not there's a stigma about long ball with Aidy, even though we know better. Too many objectors right now IMO, even though we all know he'd do a top job.

This season has really cemented the long ball philosophy into his reputation. I doubt they would give him a chance to prove them wrong.

In a couple of years when we are secure in the Prem then yes. Not quite yet, think there are more experienced managers out there ahead of him.

Definitely would not like to see it happen. He needs to spend his time looking for future players for us and they are not likely to be at the big clubs, which is where he would be looking at England U21 players. We have always had the long ball reputation and it did not stop GT becoming England Manager. Come to think of it, some people will say that is why no watford boss should be involved in set-up again. Do I not like that.

It would mean he would get to work with Ash again...

I can't see it happening, but it would be good for Aidy if it did

    There are 2 questions

    Whould the FA want him?

    Would he want the job?

im not too sure fir the answers of those questions.

    3rd Question :

Would the club that pays his wages want him to spend his valuable time on something else when he already has a full time job.

    Nope
