I don't know much about UK or European employment or contract law but, if it could be done I'd like the League or FIFA or someone to legislate that agents could not receive any portion of transfer fees. Like theatrical agents they should be confined to a percentage of a player's wages. There would still be an incentive to promote players' moves to higher levels but there would be much less incentive to go after the "quick buck" that they get from transfers which may well not be in a player's best interests.
More like a royalty payment over a period of the palyers contract, rather than the one of greed mongering big fat pay cheque based on the fee. I think players should be educated first so they can make their own decisions in life. Brainless bunch are footballers.
