That may be the clause in his contract but he'll go for far less if Sporting are looking to off-load him. Mind you, Transfermarket say is worth £21M so that's probably way more than we'd be willing to pay

 

That's true. Although his buyout is ludicrous, Leicester offered around £20m last summer and even though Sporting rejected it the player himself said coming to England was one of his goals and was disappointed with Sporting. If he wants a move then maybe there could be something in it, especially with Marco now being Head Coach. Would imagine that £10m is a very very low starting offer though.

 

£21m for a 28 year old is not the Pozzo way. Not happening.

Tottenham were linked for 26 mil a couple of days ago. Way out of our league in terms of transfer fee and I'd actually be a bit annoyed if we spent this much on one player. Maybe in a few years time if we continue to grow but I don't think we are ready yet.

We probably wouldn't spend £21m on anyone, but let's not pretend the Pozzo's/club haven't spent and, in many cases wasted, a fairly large amount of money on ageing players.

I dunno. Not at the moment, but in the future i could see us spending that money on a player who they feel that we will get a return on. Prices are inflating.

Success for £12million (not sure if we'll ever make a profit on him at the moment, but a good couple of seasons and I think we wouldn't accept less than £20million )
Pererya for £13million (if he has a good season he could demand £30million+)

For the right player, at the right age, with the right potential. I could see us spending £21million on a player. But granted it would be a rarity.

Granted, it is that hitc website but it does claim that they would be willing to accept around £12,000,000 for him, which in my opinion would be an absolute bargain if you consider the c.a £3,000,000 we may get for Behrami which is a decent amount of money that can go towards the deal.

 

I reckon we could get 12 mill for Capoue easily.
