Is the only evidence of this the FA page? WD never specified or claimed to know La Liga rules for yellow card suspensions. Is it possible that the FA page is not gospel and that 5 yellow cards always results in a ban in Spain?

If money were Gino's motivation he would have sold Deeney and Iggy in the summer for £60 mill and replaced them with someone like Zaza for 1/3rd the price

When we do sell Ducoure it will be 1) because we don't need him anymore, and 2) we have a replacement, and 3) we can make a tidy profit on him

I suspect he'll be in the side this weekend, now that Watson will be out. Wouldn't be surprised to see him play significant minutes with Watson out and Gueds on a yellow. Outside of Capoue, the midfield was lackluster. Costa is a handful under any circumstances. Having fresh bodies to throw at him all day might be the best play.

Indeed. With Gueds on a yellow, we can't risk a second bookable in the early minutes of the game.

 

Gueds is so good he has to start every game on a yellow card, just to make it fair for everyone else.

I'm more inclined to think that the manager picked the squad he thought best fit the match and then mangled the question in the press conference due to his pidgin English.
