Dreadful performance by everybody today, and the quietest I've known the away fans (with good reason)

We couldn't string a pass together, let alone get a cross in....

Nigh on 6 hours of driving for nothing!!!

Why do we bother??? I have no problem losing or not going up....it's when you spend a packet of wedge and a whole day to go and watch such a gutless performance that winds me up :dismay:

First time I've left a game early for many years but that was awful. Boothroyd is so tactically naive its frightening and I'm afriad if we do go up it will be despite him and not because of him.
I worry now that if we don't go up we'll be facing a relegation battle next season. We are now paying the price for having no plan B when the world has sussed out plan A.
If the club had any gumption they'd publicly apologise for todays total dross.

Dear god, it's all going very, very wrong. :dismay:

We really are a joke at the moment... Well, actually, we've been a joke for the majority of the season, but the style of football is now more than an embaressment, we can't even say it's effective anymore and Mr Hoofroyd is very much losing my confidence once again. Aside to our awful performances and absolutely pathetic style of football, how can he be the only one that couldn't see the side needed strengthening for the run-in? Everyone else beefed up their squads accept us, despite the fact that our strikers can't score for s**t, we're missing our only decent midfielder for the next 3 games and the rest of our midfield massively lacks any real creativity/quality and we're in generally awful form. The fact that for the majority of the second half today Aidy left John on the bench and felt he had to resort to yet again throwing Shittu up front and smashing the ball up to him constantly really does show just how clueless Aidy is at the moment.

Aidy's little tactics notepad reads as follows:

Plan A: Ignore the midfield and hoof from the back up to Darius.
Plan B: If Darius is suspended then simply hoof it at whoever else is playing up there and hope for the best.
Plan C: If plans A and B fail then throw a massive defender up front and hoof it up to him instead.
Plan D: If the first three master game plans fail then, errrrrrmmmm...

At the moment I fear for our chances of making the play-offs, let alone getting auto promotion.

Just back from Hell. Absolutely abysmal performance. No one player gets any credit, though if we were doing player ratings a couple might score a 2. Maybe. A wholesale clearout is needed in the summer IMO, with Aidy hanging on for want of a better alternative. Stability will pay in the end.

The majority of our fans were crap today. A couple of hundred of us stood all game singing over the right and the remainder just sat in silence. There's no excuse for such a lack of passion. Sitting is fine, personal choice and all, but silence is pointless. You can argue that the players don't show any passion, so why should we, but that's a poor way of thinking. A few of us tried to get the rest going but it was like talking to a brick wall.

Sorry UEA I'm as passionate as the next fan but you'd need a ton of viagra to get any passion from that dross today.

    Absolutley agree with you 150%!

Doesn't matter which division we're in, we need to clear out the sh*t and re-build!

You need to look at the fact we're a SHADOW of the 05/06 side that went up!!

We've lost our midfield creativity (Young and Spring)...and we've lost our talisman/goalscorer (King...although he had to go, IMO)!

The truth is, we haven't replaced any of these players! The players we have brought in haven't lived up to it!

I don't blame Ellington, McAnuff etc...I blame Aidy! He was the one that signed them! He was the one that wasted all that parachute money!

    I'm furious at the moment!

UAE - I was sat infront of you lot and fair game you did attempt to keep going, although it wasn't always supportive ;)

Having said that I've never felt so depressed at a game of footy in my life. Difficult to get excited when every cross ended up in the upper tier. A bloke next to me left after 30 mins!!!

:]] Agreed 100%, but passion goes both ways I guess. We took the **** out of the crap and tried to keep the positives going when they came (and went). I cheered Willo's FK at the end - possibly our only shot on target in anger - like it was a goal! I particularly liked the "Are you Styles with a tan?" chant to Rennie after the Kabba red...

Having only missed one all season, I shan't be going next week unless he rings the changes. Might as well pick the youngsters couldn't do any worse than that lot today and at least the opposition won't know what they are likely to do.
Missus has had enough Plymouth last week and Hull today thats her lot for another couple of years.... there is a God after all !!!!!

Fair play to you...I was more interested in counting the inbreds in the East Stand (although there were a fair few in the away end as well!!)

On a seperate note, who dumped their missus at the game? Saw a bint who was in a flood of tears towards the tail end of the game and I doubt that it was Kabba's missus

Yeah got that from the radio.

Every time the ball went near him something bad seemed to happen.

Kevin Affleck called it showboating, but he is a moron.

Sounded awful on the radio, glad I didn't go.

How loud was their PR man!? I couldn't hear the commentary half the time.

Never heard Boothroyd so negative. He was absolutley gutted.

    Just got back from Hull

I'm absolutely gutted. I set out from home at about 7am to go to Hull anticipating a win, and expecting a performance. Instead, I got a loss and an embarassment. I don't mind losing 3-0 having given it a go but apart from 2 or 3 chances I can't remember their keeper having too much to do.

We were an absolute joke from front to back and I'd love to know what Aidy said to them pre-kickoff to try and gee them up. In such a big game you'd expect passion, desire, a will to fight, every player going for every ball and much more.

The strike-force today was an absolute farce. Ellington was a joke, and Kabba was not much better (Am I the only one who didn't have a clear view of his sending off?)

Also, I forgot to mention some **** called me a 'disloyal' fan for 'daring' to air my views on the shower of **** I watched this afternoon...pretty rich considering I've been to more grounds this season then he's played at on Pro Evo.

We'll be lucky to scrape playoffs.

    Rant over.

i cant think of one player who wanted to win the ball, we had no desire nor will to go out and win the game. i cant think of one challenge we put in to win the ball, it was just so pathetic how uninterested we looked.

he was a ****, all we were singing was 'Swansea on a tuesday night'. and we were singing positively for the first 60 minutes but that was a funny song so it deserved to be song.
