Maybe I am just a little paranoid but Blackwell seems to like targetting Watford players for his rebuilding of the Blunts. Is this a policy simply aimed at improving the squad of the smaller of the Sheffield clubs or is something more sinister afoot ... maybe he wishes to see the demise of WFC at the same time.

There could be a few reasons why the Blades tubby manager would do this:

    1. Sc*mmer born and bred (knows his way to the dole office).
    2. Managed the Hatters.
    3. The defeat by the all conquering Horns of Leeds at Cardiff.

    Grounds for a conspiracy ?????

Maybe it's just a case of him knowing we're in the brown stuff and using that knowledge as bargaining power?

That or he knows what a superior club we are and that our players MUST be top drawer.

Vendetta no, just a desire to rob the few cherries at a knockdown price because they got a few quid from Tevez, doesn't wipe away the tears of those mug fans crying on the last day though :)

That's a bit rich, especially coming from you.
Was it GS who planted a newspaper story telling the world that Watford was on the brink of administration? NO
    Was the story true? NO
Did you contribute to the spread of malicious lies and rumours about the state of Watford's finances, leading all other teams to believe they could pick up our players for peanuts? YES
Was GS's assertion that that we were not on the brink of administration, that the finances were tight but manageable true? YES
Was GS looking for a buyer able to invest more in the club? YES
Are the Russos looking for new investment? NO
Are they putting any of their own money in? NO
There might well have been a conspiracy here, but not the one you think.

Within weeks of the Wobby story being published, we shipped out several of our biggest earners for fat fees. From the fact that we removed such a huge burden from the outgoings and from the fact that none of the incoming money was reinvested, I'd have to say that the article was not as wide of the mark as you and PYA consistently claim. Maybe exaggerated, but not completely fabricated.

When's the court date for the Simpson Vs Affleck libel case?

Where were the outgoings amounting to near £10 million when aflackingscumcanut wrote in early November 2008we needed £10 million or going into administration in January - how much was the liability really - I'd like to guess a mere £1.82 million, which the Russo ranters kindly put into the club at the end of January 2009 secured on a nice high interest rate and the parachute monies from the premiershyte.

My guess then would be the current status at that time was that for some reason, ( maybe player payments to other clubs) were needed to be funded, in which GS had already secured a bank overdraft facility and which he stated would be part used in January 09.

As for your player sales , in the August episode of afelckingscumcanuts reporting - this was debated in another thread and I think UEA mentioned that two of the players people include in the £10 million required by September 2008 had already been sold - thus making scummyflecks report damaging to wfc in the transfer market, a bit like the November issue - the russos rogues whipped up a lot of media coverage favourable to them against the board - about the finances. However, facts are facts - we didn't go into administration in September nor January - fleck was booted out the wobbly quite correctly.

Jimbob also stated when he became chaircanut - " we can trade out of this" - interesting statement from the salad Junta having inspired a campaign of how skint we were and how much trouble we were in.

Russos out now - £25k striker = £299 season ticket - ucking brilliant!:sign15: uckin opverpriced the Season tickets there Jimbob - rip off merchants out now!

Just one (little flaw in your argument) if things were so great - why did Simpson `run at the last minute`, after saying he had more than enough votes to stay in situ?

He knew he couldn't take the club any further and was actively looking for new investment. When the EGM was called why would he want to to take any more of the sh1t he was getting? People were being vile to him and his family and the slurs continue even though the club still owes him money.

would love for you to be able to answer that question yourself one day, being put into the exact same position - I wonder what you would do?

I have no idea personally, but wasn't surprised - that little bit of paper the salad creamer was waving around -

Anyway the russo rubbis are running the club and now they are ucking it up big time.. who cares - Pokers the way of the future.

    RUSSOS OUT NOW!

The position he put himself in by using Ashton to exclude the Bruvs from the board (without refunding their investment).

Strange how things work out - Simpson is now in exactly the same position they were, but for a fraction of the money, and he resigned `by choice` he was not voted off the board as they were.

Incidentally I have nothing against Simpson personally - he just isn`t a great business man and easily led by `the takers of this world`.

He is probably a fine character actor- which career he is now free to exploit:]]

Demise? He's filling our pockets with cash!! £2,000,000 for Henderson, £1,800,000 for Smith (maybe), £500,000 for Willo and £750,000 for Tool.

    Great business by the club.

Agreed, he has done us a favour there all fairly average players for good fees apart from smithy who isn't average but there no point losing him on a free in twelve months time.
