Is anyone else already slightly frustrated by Zola not being able to speak fluent english and not being able to fully put across his point. It doesn't really matter for us but could it affect the players if they can't fully understand the manager as not many of them will have worked with foreign managers before. Or does it not matter?
I see what you mean, but i'm sure it doesn't matter that much....it will just mean they will be at the training ground a little longer !
i thought his english was exceptional compared to the majority of foreign managers in this country. i think he will have no problem putting his views across.
Zola's english is pretty good, remember he's probably not been in the country much for the last couple of years, give him a couple of months, practice makes perfect. It's the new assistant manager and first team coach you want to worry about.
Zola's English is perfect, but his pronunciation is a little difficult to understand at first, but once you tune into him, you'll be fine. Besides, most of our players will be foreign from now on anyway, so I doubt it will be a problem for them.
do you prefer Trapattoni ?
What matters is that he is proud and honoured to be Watford manager. Being able to say so is a bonus. You've got to bear in mind that recently he has been used to speaking Italian, a language which is faster than English. Three or four months working in this country should help slow his words down a little, and cut out some of the erms.
