Please support us! I’m writing this message today to everyone with Watford in their hearts. I wanted to communicate with you directly, rather than through the media columns that get reported after every match, to personally ask for your support over the next nine very tough and very crucial games for this Football Club. I am fully aware of the emotional rollercoaster ride that Watford fans have been on over recent years – some extreme highs and some disappointing lows too. We are coming towards the end of what was always going to be a very difficult season where we have all been involved in transition – on and off the pitch. My message to you today though is please stick with us and give all your energy to support your team through to the end of the season. The atmosphere at the Ipswich game last Tuesday made a real difference and I thank you for that. I look at my staff and my players every single day and challenge them to be strong enough to represent this Club. I’ve said from day one that I will not tolerate anyone who doesn’t give everything they’ve got – especially the players who I know are a young, honest group and have truly given 100% in a yellow shirt this year. I can promise you I will leave no stone unturned to ensure we get the wins needed this season to keep us up. When times are tough supporters will always question the manager and I’m ok with that. I just ask that over the next five home games and four away games you do all you can to fully support the 11 players who are wearing the shirt. The time really is now. I am 100% committed to you and this Club. This is a fight and we’re in it together. See you tomorrow. Malky
'I’ve said from day one that I will not tolerate anyone who doesn’t give everything they’ve got ' In that case we'll have 6 or 7 players dropped tomorow Malky.
but with only kids to fill in they most likely won't.....thus continuing the deadly cycle of complacency
in the sense tht some opposition might think they can easily walk over us yes...problem is they're not half wrong.
In my experience, the phrase 'no stone unturned' is usually trotted out by people who get rich for doing absolutely bugger all then blame other people for their own inadequacies.
I've no idea Patrick, I don't have cosy, fireside chats with whichever set of no marks has the reigns at the club at any given time. I rely on the likes of you to tell me what to think. So did you have to give Mr Souter a cuddle before bedtime on Wednesday? Sort of a mutual support thing in the wake of the most recent glorious failure?
Ol boo boo to his friends, mr souter said he was heading back to the lodge to get comfort from another lizard - nothing has changed in all the years of JS's pulling power. who cares about the glorious failure - aint even worth a second thought. Had a wry smile moment or two watching the wfc faithful get all growly and abusive when mm made his last substitution and then at the final whistle. Magic moments to be savoured. Why is it that people take it all so seriously. What is the appeal of success that makes failure so painful?
He would have been disappointed if he was waiting for me, I hightailed it out of there early, so as to get in my car and get away quick smart It's not safe on the roads up that way, we all know what reckless drivers the Wendies fans are
Yes, we're in it together. The difference being some of us walk away at the end of the week, regardless of performance with thousands of pounds in our pockets.
Dear Malky F@ck off you patronising scottish canunt. After everything else you have just confirmed you are also now a liar. You look at everyone everyday and won't tolerate anyone who doesn't give all they have got! I nearly crashed the f@cking car when the email came through. Its clear for most (its cobvious a few sperm on here have no brain so they are excluded) that neither Helguson or that yank canunt Demerit don't give a flying **** about this club based on recent efforts, I would go as far to say your captain american who was plucked from non league oblivion and paid thousands of pounds every week by this club clearly has no desire to play let alone fight for this club. All the canunt is interested in is not getting injured to 1. Not miss out on the world cup & B miss out on a big money move this summer, note to self in case you missed it the f@cker will walk away on a free, we get **** all, so perhaps if you insist on continually playing the canunt you may want to point out what little old watford has done for the ungrateful pr1ck and whilst you still love him would he care to show a little fight for the cause tomorrow. They say you learn from your mistakes, clearly you don't, so here is are a few pointers. 1. Tell capt America to f@ck off and not return. 2. Play Aidy and Taylor in the centre with Hodson and the liability that is Doyley either side (I realise Doyley is shyte but you have no options) 3. Stick Clevers and Henri in mid=field alongside our two new wingers, time for them to fight for their lives. 4. We know you love a fellow sweaty but mr cowie is often at fault for opp goals and offers us nothing on the flanks, if required i.e Henri is poorly put Cowie in the centre, remember he was slightly affective there a while ago. 5. Give Mr Hoskins a new partner in the Mackam. 6. Drop Mr HH and DG to the bench to be used in emergencies, i.e when 2 down with 20 mins to go at home to a shyte Boro side managed by yet another of your sweaty mates. 7. If all else fails, please just walk away eh? I won't be there tomorrow despite owning a season ticket your inept management, lack of understanding of the game, woeful tactics and constant refereeing excuses have driven me away from the club I love. Instead I will be sat at home sticking pins in my eyes, praying you don't **** up again come 4.55pm tomorrow - trust me its far less painful than enduring the shyte you serve up on the hallowed turf. love and kisses Bobster
Dear Malky (if its you) This sums up everything Ive thought and written about you. A spineless mouthpiece for the board. All your message says is 'please turn up and pay so that we can make enough money to get paid'. You get paid a helluva lot more than me. You buy me n lil spud tickets for the next 8 games and wel happily come and support you. What are you on (aprt from medication) 10 grand a week ? Five grand a week ? More than enough to pay for the majority of fans on here to come and support OUR club, fans who have supported OUR club all OUR lives not just for a 3 year contract. After all we pay to support OUR club not get paid to support em. YOUR team and tactics tell a completely different story to your message. Ive got bored of making points about who should play where and why. After all you get paid to do it, I dont. So why bother eh ? Lil Spud says : yo malky your so fat u jumped in the river nile and baptised egypt yo malky your so fat u need scaffholding to keep u standing yo you treat will hoskins lik a pile of shyte yo your mums vag is open 24 hours and here to help Love and kisses Spud and Lil spud.
Does anyone really believe getting behind the team will change anything? Stop trying to pass the blame onto the fans Malky and do your job.
Fine Malky, but if your quote in the Wobby is accurate it is hardly motivational for your first team. `We are definitely confident we can stay in this division.” Some fans have been calling for Mackay to make wholesale changes after just three wins in their last 18 games in all competitions. But the manager explained: “We don’t particularly have four or five players to bring into the squad. We have a very small squad of players and we have an awful lot of youngsters who are in their first season in this division. So, as for wholesale changes, if they were there to be made then they would be made. That would really make me want to give my all - just think before you speak. If this was a misquote just disregard my comment.
We don't boo the team that much or shout abuse...I can think of worse support. Ok not the most vocal but footballers are paid quite nicely and should be able to use their own abilities to change a game rather than rely on a few songs to gee them up.
Its not about songs or support its about fans paying to got to games, to increase gate receipts so the players and staff can get paid. They dont give a monkeys about anything apart from money and themselves.
indeed this message only adds to the feeling they are begging for season ticket renewals. having the worse run of the season right when they are trying to sell for a higher price is surely a problem.....unfortunately malky's PR is about as good as his tactics
Typical Malky Im afraid, hes got the boards hands up his ar5e working his every move. Hes a farkin ar5ehole.
I highly doubt Malky had much more impact on this e-mail messge than to say "oh that looks fine" when presented with the words by a PR guy. Aidy admitted his PR person wrote the weekly letters he had.
from the WO.... But the manager explained: “We don’t particularly have four or five players to bring into the squad. We have a very small squad of players and we have an awful lot of youngsters who are in their first season in this division. So, as for wholesale changes, if they were there to be made then they would be made. he then went on to say this....... “The fact is the players in there, in the main, are putting in good performances.” oh dear.....
Just again another even more winging e-mail/message to try and get the fans on his side. Why not prove yourself to the fans and bring in the new players, start the lad we signed during the week, not DG and HH who don't seem to give an uck any more. Start WH and the new lad, if not I fear come 5pm: A. We are in the relegation places if certain results occur (consider we were 7th in early Dec) B. Malky will issue the usual shyte about how luck isn't going for them, they tried hard, the ref made some shyte decisions etc.. SORT IT OUT!
I've lost faith in him now and it'll take more than an email to win me round. I don't consider myself fickle, but we are on the slide and in public he doesn't appear to be addressing the root of the problem
Erm....change the system, pick players who care, start maybe winning games or if not go down with a fight.
There is another thread running called "God" referring to GT making a not unsimilar plea to this, but I don't see the scathing comments that MM is receiving on that thread Getting back to some of those comments. I would debate one of the most common one's made, and that his that there is lack of effort from the players!!! IMO most of them are trying very hard, some might say too hard, which could explain why they are failing? I believe that it is not lack of effort, but lack of ability that is the problem, especially in the football brain area. We seem to be failing mostly in the final third of the pitch, we actually play some good build up play, but when we get near to goal, we don't seem to have a clue!!! So I will not knock the effort the team put in as a whole, as many of you do, but the team really must get their brains in gear to create a cutting edge!!!
"System" - it's a read herring Spudulian, me ol' mucker. "Systems" don't create good defenders out of shyte or players who can shoot and cross out of those that don't. As for picking the right players - In the last few games, we've had Hoskins, Buckley, HH, Graham, Henderson etc. all having a crack at playing up front. Unfortunately, we're still crap. Who's next? I've already noted people screaming for Noble to get on, as though this unproven, 18 year old is suddenly the key. Malky's got NO options. I think he's doing a job with nothing to work with. Plus he's Scottish, which is where all the good managers come from (obviously cancelled out yesterday by Strachan).
