A decent start to the season

I would say that after 6 games we are now officially over the "start of the season" that we have had a fairly decent start.

I was expecting us to struggle and to do well to match the number of points against games played, so to have 9 points so far and only one loss i'm more than happy.

Fingers crossed we don't blow up after xmas again

Fantastic start to the season considering we are fielding a team of academy kids, League One free transfers and Scottish Third Division kids!

Poorest team in the League, playing good football 90% of the time, 110% effort, goals being scored, heart-on-sleeve stuff. If we can stop being so fragile at the back in the last 10 minutes and we will be looking up the table rather than down it.

we are scoring goals and forced the best passing team in the league into lumping it up to their CB.

hope the form continues and will visit my "keep us injury free" shrine twice a day now.

 

Surely you mean down not up as we will be in the upper echelons?

 

Can't remember when it wasn't squeaky bum time in the final 10 minutes !! Hopefully NOW we can push on !!

 

Hmm, or perhaps I meant we won't be looking down worried about being relegated and will instead be looking upwards towards the heady heights of not being relegated?

Encouraging start, so frustrating that we could easily be 3rd right now. Feels like two stupid lapses against average opposition at home have almost wasted two great away results.

I'm still expecting a long old season, but will enjoy the decent start whilst it lasts.

 

Had we lost tonight how different would this thread be

A good start that should of been a great, but for our habit of conceding late late goals :rant::rant::rant:

 

at least those four dropped points have stopped people from getting too overexcited :jumping1::jumping1:

I agree. If we don't get into the play offs at least, this season will be a failure.

 

You're abit pessimistic, I want automatic places.

 

Nothing but the winner, undefeated for the rest of the season as of now, and to win the cup for me.

 

I wasent looking forward to the new season. but I have to say I have bee very suprised by the football we have played. I just hope we can keep it up well done lads u orns! :drinking:

I agree I learnt my lesson about getting to excited last season but I am just happier about our achivements on the pitch so far

 

Don't dare point out any common sense. We've won two games and so now people are all excited and think that we are going to win the Superbowl.
