Statement Regarding the Departures of Smith and McAnuff Submitted by WST on Sun, 30/08/2009 - 4:57pm. "Yesterday (Thursday) finally saw the departure of Tommy Smith and, while all Watford fans were disappointed to see him go, it softened the blow that he chose Portsmouth over Reading. Tommy’s return to Watford in 2006 was not universally welcomed as the nature of his departure in 2003 had angered many, but his performances and commitment to the cause whenever he pulled on a Watford shirt soon won over even his sternest critics. He has consistently been one of our best players over the past 3 seasons and has been the overwhelming choice for the Player of the Season award for the past two seasons. With news of the bids coming in over the Summer, it was obvious that it was only a matter of time before he left. But it is gratifying that the board held out for a fee in line with their valuation of the player." :forehead::forehead::forehead::forehead:
Self-serving muppets with fancy dan titles awarded by themselves! I imagine we'll get their take on events by March.
Is the Supports Trust still going? I thought when Simpson left there heads where so far up his backside, that they actually got suck there, and therefore left with Simpson.
