Is it just me or did there seem to be less? maybe there was a few hundred there in fancy dress as red plastic seats. Pretty poor support for a side top of the league. And the gayest chant of the weekend goes to whoever were singing, 'Bang bang bang bang, save Bangura' Well done . . . you really made a difference!
why was it gay singing that? Thought it would be about that much, only didnt fill the side that was by the corner flag
Nice parting gift for him though. Maybe if they've got cd's in Africa we could send him a recording of it.
Correct! I do want Al to stay over here because he seems like a decent lad and is potentially a very good player....however, that song was indeed very GAY...almost as Gay as 'let's all have a disco' :dismay: What were the Home Office going to turn around and say? 'yeah, all right then, fair play'? :dismay: Losers.
Maybe we could have a forum whip round and buy him a cheapo personal one from Argos, then at least he can listen to it til the batteries run out
Heaven forbid some fans were supporting a player !! Of course it's not going to help his cause but i'm in no doubt he'll appreciate the support.
Was just rather irritating and pointless like i said, no problems with people supporting him etc. Actually the tw*t in jacket and baseball cap siting at the front with his 3 mates was the most embarrassing thing about the whole day. Giving it the big ones all game and when something happened with a steward in the 2nd half was almost in tears when a steward pushed him, after he went running down there bouncing about like a prat. oh well.
The chant got a mention on Soccer Saturday, along with an explanation on why we were singing it. I would say the chant getting a mention to a World Wide TV audience, kind of makes it VERY RELEVANT. I think it might just of raised the profile of what is happening just a tad, don't you
Think about it, 3-4 years ago we would have struggled to take 400 up to Barnsley, so it does show how our support has improved.
Coming from the boy who openly admitted to looking on ebay for pone island and enquiring about bovi market. :dismay:
'pone island' well sir, that really does not offend me or anything And i've never been to Bovvi cheers.
when we took 3000+ to oakwell was in 99 im sure it was the last away game of the season, we where on a run of 7 straight wins in a row and nearly 8 if it wasnt for an 83rd minute equaliser from barnsley,we would of took more but the away end was under construction and limited to 3000+,personaly I think 1092 for late november was good nobody I know likes going there.
considering the weather and we have 2 x home games in a week i thought a 1,000+ was very good. well done all those who went :angel3:
Gladly, I missed the first 4 goals anyway, so didn't 'hinder' you with my presence for too long. I have a mates season ticket for wednesday, so you lucky barstewardss might even be graced with my presence in The Rookery Bar for 90 minutes, if its not too cold and i can be arsed to leave the pub, of course.
