Reading these posts it seems that everybodies expectations are very high.

Zola has not got a good track record at management, and has no experience of the Championship.

Perhaps some of you believe in miracles.

I guess the start of pre-season training is off for Monday. I would suspect they will be busy clearing all that rubbish from the UCL entrance anyway.

Why do people think Zola did a poor job at WHU? He did very well first season and in the circumstances in the 2nd he did well again. The season after he left, how did they do?

J.B your inbox is full, so I'll reply on here. That was the first message to you, and rather than banding about random insults/ statements, how about providing some foundation with those? 'My point has been made.' How? You're ALWAYS the provocative one here, every time. The way you speak to people for no reason is vile, telling me to grow up - once again with zero foundation - despite you talking to people like they're a piece of dirt for no reason regularly. If you actually knew me and what I did for a job you'd know why I stick up for things like this, and why you telling me to grow up is so, incredibly, wide of the mark!

By the way, in case there's any confusion, me and my son share this account, so apologies if he has said anything but he is 12 so understandably immature, I just ask that you consider that J.B, and be rational and mature about the situation. I am a psychiatrist specialising in teenagers so he'll stop, especially as I've changed the password! He's held his own pretty well though for his age... that is my son above, and I agree with him mainly, to be fair, but both parties could have acted better, for sure.

Zola won 23 of the 80 games he was in charge at Wet Spam, not a good record, indeed one of the worst in Wet Spams history. Hopefully he has learnt a few lessons and has been learning more about management during his time out of the game. Hoping for the best but fearing the worst here at the moment.

He's been appointed according to official watfordfc twitter feed:

"Good afternoon #watfordfc fans. I'm letting you know that Gianfranco Zola has now been officially appointed as the club's new manager." Official #watfordfc ‏@wfcbadgemoose

    I really, really don't know. I think it's a good appointment myself.

On paper it's not great but when you consider the circumstances over two years he did well in my opinion. Read that blog that was posted on here recently, opens your eyes.

Zola is on a huge promotion bonus, so take no notice of the £6100 a week, Zola has set his sights on promotion within 2 seasons. Watch the player revolving door start swinging come monday.

Anyone starting to worry that ticket prices are going to start rising next season?

Why would they go up. That's not much for a manager in the championship.

Fearing the worst. He's not even started yet. You have to look at the bigger picture at West Ham. In the first season club was fine and he finished 9th. Second season they were in financial meltdown and they finished 17th. They then sacked him and the following year they went down. What's happening at the club at the moment is the best thing in a very long time so please try and be upbeat and cheerful!

I would think Judas Mackay is on more than that.
