Cucho, Suarez and Estupinan will all be sold like Berghuis and Lukebakio before them.

The team next year will be similar to the one tonight, except without Doucoure or Sarr. Fantasy land to think otherwise as we can't sell any of these muppets.

Cucho has indicated that he's wanted here, and that was at a a time when our PL status hung in the balance, the others wouldn't be seen dead in the Championship

Yep, will be stuck with sh*te like Femenia, Cathcart, Cleverley, Gray, Deeney etc. for yet another season whilst anyone with any talent or promise is sold off, and likely be close to relegation again.

Estupiñán will be sold. In demand after a great season in Spain

In a totally unrealistic and impossible world I’d only keep:

    Sarr
    Hughes
    Joao Pedro
    Deulofeu
    Chalobah
    Quina

I would bring in 20 new players other than that. Will obviously never happen.

Actually to be honest, irrespective of league this is how I’d like to line up next season. New of course signalling new signing.

New, New, New, New, Pervis; Hughes, Chalobah, New; Sarr, Pedro & Deulofeu.

We might still stay up. The cowards are nailed on for 0-4 City and 0-2 Arsenal, but Villa and Bournemouth incompetence may keep us up. But it will just embolden our dinosaur owner and his puppet Giraldi to do the same again, so not sure what the point is really?

I think we are more likely to see a mass exodus if we go down, in which case I'd genuinely rather we do at this point.

As you say, if we stay up it'll just encourage the divs that run the club to maintain the status quo. The ******* morons will probably give Gray a new 5 year deal.

They honestly have done a terrible job the last 3 years. External debt has rocketed and the team has deteriorated with huge revenue. I'd love Pozzo and Giraldi to be gone tomorrow whatever division we are in. Pozzo is yesterday's man, and it's not clear to me what Giraldi's experience is pre Watford that qualifies him for his role at all. 9 years at a Tuscan minnow and a year at Brescia?

It's ok, we can see Sarr being used properly at a club in a division above us next season and sit back and think, what if?

Sarr, Pereyra and Doucoure will go should we go down.
Deulofeu will stay IMO until January as I doubt he'll be fully fit for a club to take the risk on him.
I also think the likes of Success and Penaranda may be moved on.

I have heard whispers of Sarr to Liverpool if we go down... would make sense, they like a relegated purchase on the cheap and he’d probably be happen to be a sub player for them for now.

Whilst I agree that we have a lot of ****. I think we also have a lot of talented players who just aren’t given a go in the team long enough. We all know what chalobah can do, but he so obviously needs a run of 5/6 starts to get back up to speed. He’s never going to get that in the PL. I’d say the same is the case for Cleverly & Quina

I am genuinely baffled by some people supporting Quina. On the West Ham thread we're saying about being weak mentally, being cowards etc - Quina knowingly broke lockdown rules and therefore made himself unavailable for a match. This is worse in my book than someone bottling it on stage. What am I missing here?

We know what Chalobah pre injury could do. He's a waste of a squad spot now even in the Championship. Poor fellow.

Cleverley is absolute dog s**t. Another one who sums up everything that is wrong with us and the direction of our squad. A slow, ageing, past his (bang average) prime clogger who shouldn't be anywhere near a Premier League side unless it's as absolute emergency back-up.

You might be right, but how many times since he recovered from that injury has he played more than 2/3 games in a row? Yes he’s been poor in them, but it takes some players 5/6 games to get back to it. I don’t know why we didn’t send him on a short term loan.

People have wildly optimistic ideas of who would play in the Championship imo. When relegation’s confirmed I’m planning on starting a thread where we all have a guess at who’s in and who’s out. I’ll tot up the points when the window closes and we can see who was most accurate.

Anyone thinking Deulofeu, regardless of his injury, will kick a ball in the Championship is insane.

Ordinarily I'd agree, although there's a month between seasons pretty much, not much time to plan for the new season

Worst part is I can see us starting the first game of next season with more or less the same defence.

I think unfortunately most will stay as no one will want them. I can see Sarr and Hughes being sold as they are PL quality. We may see a couple of players go to Udinese, Pereyra maybe. I don’t see Cucho or Suraez joining, they won’t want to drop down. Maybe someone will come in with a low offer for Doucoure, and I wouldn’t be disappointed to see him go. I would think Delefeou will be there for the start of the season, given his injury- but likely he will go at the first opportunity. The only hope for next year is some of the fringe players are given an opportunity. Pusetto, Pedro, Quina and maybe 1 or 2 players from Udinese. I can see us struggling in the Championship as we won’t have long to rebuild

Suarez won't be dropping down he's playing in the Spanish 2nd divsion. Where does this myth he's tearing up La Liga continually come from?

Pretty sure I read he doesn’t want to come if we are relegated. It’s entirely possible I am making it up, but I think there will be clubs prepared to buy him, and we won’t be in a financial position to turn money away

The New brothers are exciting. But Chalobah and Quina? No evidence that they are any more signed up to fighting for the team than older players who routinely get criticised.

At best they will be sent on loan again in the hope we come back up should relegation happen.
