Quina to make the dildo brothers look ridiculous for letting him go for peanuts and keeping that builders merchant employee Mark Noble instead.

Saying that, they are in good form so could be a tough afternoon.

Happy with a draw but a win would be an excellent result.

I think Quina will be dropped. Capoue coming back and frankly, if there's one team in the league that will have loads of insight into how to stop Quina effectively it should be the Spammers.

Would have been better to have played West Ham earlier in the season, as they are now bang on form. Having said that, they've won 4 games in a row. That run will have to end at some point.

I think we have the potential to be the best side outside of the top 5. (not saying top 6 anymore and United are firmly within our grasp).

With that in mind, we should go to West Ham full of confidence and I'm sure we'll cause them plenty of problems. It's all about how clinical is our finishing. If we take our chances (for once) then I think we'll win.

One other note to add, we've been appointed yet another sh1t referee in Lee Mason. Yes the one that sabotaged our potential famous cup win against Spurs, so it will be another 12 v 11 type of fixture. However, we're used to that now, so I'm hoping we'll still come out on top.

Prediction West Ham 2 Watford 3.

Depressing ground. Depressing pre-match beer opportunities. Depressing weather forecast.

Half time singing and the bin drummers were the only highlight of last year's visit.

If we turn up like we have in the last couple of games then we have a good chance of getting something.

However play like we did against Leicester and Newcastle then it will be a disappointing journey home!

Must win game. Interesting to see what line up Gracia goes with. If Capoue returns, who does he replace ?
    2-0 to the irons.

    Another must-win 6-pointer.

Not much point predicting our results nowadays, we can beat the best and lose to the worst.

Big call to drop Quina after he's been *so * good in his recent games. Also can't leave out Capoue imo. Personally I'd also keep Doucoure in the team and play:

    Deeney or Success
    Pereyra Douc Capoue Quina Gerard

3-0 West Ham, tough afternoon for the Hornets.

Hope Quina is dropped and sent to play in the reserves. Sick and tired of seeing a quality, motivated player in the team.

Depressing convoluted walk back to the station.

Yep, would love to see it... and I also feel it's pretty well balanced. The wingers are largely attacking focused obviously, but the midfield three are all all-action, mobile players who can get around, press, put tackles in and cover gaps where required, but are also all capable of getting forward to create and support the attack too.

Same team as Cardiff, just Capoue in for Sema and we'll ******* smash them.

Will be an easy easy 3 points.

    West Ham 1-3 Watford

Europa Cup back on the cards.

He’s far more adept at these things than I for sure! But increasingly in the absence of pre-game threads with each passing day - I’m happy to put something up to start the discussion but time constraints will regularly leave it ‘succinct’ as you put it!

I’m happy for anyone to do better and more lengthy/humorous ones - be that Clive or anyone else!

I’ll just occasionally get the ball rolling in the absence of the above if the week is sliding by without a thread!

Last time we won 5 in the row in the league was under Pardew, where we also won 2 in the cup during the run.

First they get rid of Pardew, then they get rid of Quina. Whatever happened to keeping the crown jewels? Now Quina is starring for Watford, and Pardew will be going to Man U after Christmas.

Has it ever been sunny and dry when we play them?

Last seasons games were played on cold wet days too..

I'd take a draw - let hope the ref doesn't ruin what could be a famous league win though.

    ;)

    Bravo, Burnsy!

You're like Ben, rolling the ball out as he surveys the options.

Short to Kabbs or long to Gray?

    Clive is your Gray.

Liked for the positivity until I got to the bit about the referee. Maybe Javi should employ you to advise on ref tactical analysis! Allow the team to plan for it as if they gave a extra midfielder.

You can spot a bad official a mile off. If they have no hair then they are generally crap. Pierluigi Collina is the notable exception to this rule.

I think we should play 4-5-1 with Deeney up top G.D and Maxi on the wings and plenty of energy in the centre with Quina, Doucs and Capoue. I think having two holding midfielders will be ideal as West Ham look more dangerous counter attacking. I think we can win this but I would take a point as it keeps our little unbeaten run going.

    Yes! Arnautovic is out!
No! Michael Antonio is back in form and always, always scores against us...
