Great point. Nobody on a football forum should be allowed to comment on formations or substitutions without coaching badges.

If that Foster header had crept in, it would have felt like a win.

And if my autie had balls she'd be my uncle, unless she said she was still my auntie and used she/her pronouns.

Whether Quique has actually improved our defence or not is debatable, but it is quite clear that our attacking threat has all but vanished since he took over. Does anyone really think we'd still be waiting for a win if we'd kept faith in Javi? The fact that Foster came closer to scoring than Grey says it all

I think he has improved our defence. We were shipping goals for fun.

If Quique had started the season like this, it would have been a slow start but not a disaster, but on top of the run of defeats we started with, it's just not enough.

Unfortunately we dont have good enough attackers to sit tight and hope to nick goals on the break or from set pieces (which we are dismal at).

Put Gomez back in goal and play Big Ben up front, as he is looking our most potent striker at the moment ;)

We've scored SIX goals all season. SIX. From 11 games.

    0.5 goals a game.

My £500 season ticket has treated me to FOUR goals from open play at home so far this season.

It's utter, utter tripe and it's just SO boring now. We have no attacking gameplan whatsoever and we deserve more than that as fans.

I feel so defeated and so disconnected from my wonderful club this evening. I can barely be bothered to moan and that's the worst part, I'm just bored of it all, the same old underlying problems.

    :(

I’ve got a Level 1 coaching badge - very low levelled compared to Premier League managers qualifications but i’ve still got it ;)

We played poor today. Chelsea weren’t spectacular, we just offered nothing going forward and relying on smashing it to nobody was only going to benefit one team. In my opinion, the score was a little deceiving and we were lucky to come out of that game with only a -1 goal difference; not because they were good, but because we were just aimless.

The issue isn’t trying to play damage limitation, the issue is trying to play damage limitation against every other team in the Prem.

Granted, against Chelsea, today was perhaps a good idea to sit back behind the half way line in attempt to stop them scoring, but when we’ve conceded within 5 minutes, plan A goes out of the window... We’re no longer playing for the draw, we’re playing to stop them scoring more - this understandably comes across as weak willed and utterly pathetic... Afterall, the players are paid millions a year to win games...

To reiterate, i’m level 1, Quique’s UEFA Pro qualified and he’s been in the game longer than i’ve been drinking booze... but in my opinion, we weren’t managed well today.

Comment away. But it's obviously from a 'lack of knowledge' position.

VAR was our friend - was the only way we were going to score .

Summed up when Foster comes the closest to getting another goal !

Really outplayed in midfield and they showed what a real striker can do .

Maybe weren't expecting much from this game but points are a must in the next few .

We've scored only two goals from open play at home this season. And one of those was via a defensive howler. The rest I agree with.

Goodnight. I intend to be comatose for ten hours until MotD in the morning.

Thanks... I was wondering if the badge would give me any benefits in life. Knowing I can now comment about football on the Watford forum has cemented itself into ‘my greatest achievements’ diary

losing Cathcart meant we wasted a substitution, saying that i didn't get the Kiko or Janmaat change. If it was Kiko for a CB and push one of them further forward then fair enough, but i didn't get it

The booing seemed to kick the team in to action

I'm a big fan of Chalobah but he had a mare

I understand all those who don't like QSF, but this game was never likely to bring any points, anything we did get would have been a bonus. The next 3 games are realistically much much more important and will probably decide our fate

really not sure what your point is. You rattle away about politics from a position of considerable ignorance? It’s a football forum. Of course people are going to discuss substitutions and formations.

Oh, and those who booed Kiko coming on... Grow up.

He might have been poor recently but nothing warrants being singled out when every player has been poor.

    Really embarrassing to be honest.

Those kind of moments should be left to the Arsenal fanbase to shame themselves in.

That last 10 minutes masked a turd of a performance.

If we lose to Norwich will QSF get the boot? I'm going as it seemed like a good idea at the time.

I don’t know what to say about the game really

if we were half way up the table and scoring goals we would probably think it was an alright game , but we are not.

Foster saved our blushes , Masina , doucs , Gerry all at least average.

    challobah poor, Bobby fairly poor

    cabs, maps, Janmaat ok

gray who knows he wasn’t anywhere near the ball for most of the game

didn’t realise quite how disliked Kiko was till he came on

Can’t see QSF lasting the year , thank god

don’t think it was really a penalty , so it was sad to see our good luck wasted on a game we didn’t win

I would say staying up is now beyond our own control and will be dependant upon other teams loosing.

It will be interesting to see what happens in January, if we are still rock bottom can’t see the club spending to get us safe , can imagine they won’t want to throw good money after bad.

The boo’s were to QSF for bringing on a right back for a right back in the 70th minute at home whilst you’re 2-0 down.

Soon as that was clear, Janmaat was applauded off and Kiko was applauded on, albeit less enthusiastically.

I'd suggest I've been closer to the 'cutting edge of politics' than those on here have been to running a football club. Anyway, of course analytical comments will be made on a football forum. But it's really all just hot air isn't it? If there was an easy solution I'm sure Quique, being the professional in the room, would have adopted it.

And before you point it out yourself, yep the politics section is a lot of hot air too.

Not exactly going to inspire the players. Kiko might not have been booed directly, but i’m sure, as a player with anxiety problems in the past, he won’t have seen it as that.

Just imagine what it'd be like if they'd noticed the 1881 chanting 'you don't know what you're doing' at QSF immediately afterwards.

    Civil war.
