Slightly ironic that the first celta vigo goal was scored by an ex udinese/granada player and the second was bagged by an ex Liverpool (who watford beat today) player.
Hugely important match for Granada this evening, away at Las Palmas. 7 teams in relegation zone. Granada is 18th, Las Palmas 19th. If Granada wins, it goes 14th. If a draw, still dire straits and Granada remains 17th on GD. If Granada loses it's a fu****g disaster, 19th place. Come on Granada!
lost it Boo granada in some bother now maybe we can send them some players to assist their relegation scrap. kinda feel guilty after nicking Nyom and Ighalo.
Definitely looks like Granada could use some good reinforcements in January, to get out from the c**p they're deep in.
I hope we can start returning the favours you have done for us and loan you a few good players to help you out, keep your spirits up and hopefully the cavalry will be with you soon :smiley-sport029:
Yesterday's performance was really disappointing: no game plan, no quality, no grit. In other Granada's matches I've seen this season it was much much better than this. Yet, the table is very short still. Seven teams currently in relegation fight and Granada is still only 1 point from 17th and 3 points from 14th place. A few decent reinforcements in January and a few good performances and more confidence and IMHO you can leave behind at least three teams.
Would it be fair to say that discipline is a huge issue? I looked at the score and the first thing I thought was 'I bet they had someone sent off' and as thought you had (not that it would have had much of an effect on the score).
Two thoughts: - the defeat with Las Palmas is doubly bad, because it was rather a 7-pointer than a 6-pointer. In Liga, IIRC, with equal points it's not GD to matter but results in direct clashes, so Las Palmas is now automatically above Granada in case of same points. - Ibarbo would certainly be useful there, unfortunately he has played very little so far yet played 7' for Roma AC and 42' for WFC. IIRC, under FIFA rules he cannot wear a third different shirt in season. This afternoon: Granada-Sevilla. Very difficult match as Sevilla is 8th in table. Not much hope for result but let's hope at least to see a better performance.
Even then, it's not much to get excited about. They have played well before this season, but not once have they actually looked like building on it.
