    I was told the other day that Real Sociedad was going to be the home friendly. I can't find anything online to confirm that though.

    As much as it’s right that we all remember GT, having a game for him every year just seems bit silly now. I’d like to see it moved to every 5 years and give it a bit more meaning. Every year in front of a near empty stadium just doesn’t seem like a fitting tribute anymore.

    I, for one, look forward to the traditional annual meltdown that will ensue on these forums when we don't win every preseason game 10-0 and inevitably lose to some lower league team.

    The first one of these was fantastic, with family fun activities behind the Rookery. They've not done it since, but it was a great way to get my kids excited about the season and enjoying coming to the stadium, before the long, dark winter sets in, Pererya stops trying and all hope begins to fade

    Yeah. I was in Manchester when it was some testimonial and United played Celtic and there were thousands of total scumbags causing loads of trouble. Rangers smashed the place up when it was the Europa League final a few years later.

    Two vile clubs. Always trying to make out that the other is the villain when they are both as bad as each other.
