    I'm not getting much of a feeling of cup final fever, is there anything in the town centre to celebrate our impending thrashing by City?

    Feels more like a bit of a cold than a fever.

    I remember there being all sorts in town in '84. Clements was full of final merchandise. Me and my brother pestered my dad until he gave in and bought us a pack of Watford sweatbands.

    I saw an advert for the FA Cup final on the BBC before MotD over the weekend. Of course it was all Man City, with a photo of Deeney at the end. We were called WAT-ford for some unknown reason. Watford is pronounced Wotford….not WATford dumb ass.

    Good thinking Stevo. I see your plan. Yes I've heard that the bus is the best and quickest way to get to Wembley on 18th. Alternatively I believe it only takes 2 hours to walk from Watford Town Centre. Train is the worst by far - can take up to 5 hours.

    We are spelt Watford though so why would they put "Wotford" ?

    Or did you mean the "WAT" bit was in capitals and you say people don't say like that ...

    Just saw the video Stevo posted on another thread with the 84 cup final build up. Do they still do all that? Walking around in their suits etc? The stadium looked rammed and the players weren’t even in kit (obviously) so that must have been an hour before ko?

    What time everyone planning on getting inside the stadium on the day? What time do things start?

    In ‘84, due to a prior engagement, I didn’t get onto the terrace until an hour before kick-off and I was virtually the last person to arrive. I made sure I was there much earlier in ‘99 to take it all in.
