  1. Tip for those coming from West. Chiltern line from Denham. All day parking £4.50. £6 22 minutes direct to Wembley Stadium.

Safety concerns should be in inverted commas.

    Blackmail acceptable alternative term.

Can’t wait for us to lift the FA Cup on May 18th 2019, going to be amazing. It’s ours to lose.

Wembley Central, 20 mins walk. It may not be the closest but it is the most convenient if coming down the main line going through/via Watford Junction. The queues aren't as bad as closer stations (inc. tube) afterwards. You can get a bus from there if you don't want to / can't walk.

  9. Leighton Buzzer

Ah, but I think the queues will be much longer than usual, due to the tube strike affecting the other stations.

Get there extra early, get drunk, get thrown out early for fighting when we are 3-0 down *insert stupidly early minute of this happening here* and either get back to Watford for more beer or go to local establishment to get further smashed before passing out on local park bench. "What strike?"

For those that dont mind being bus ******* for the day it's fairly straightforward from Watford. Bus 268 from the junction to Harrow bus station then bus 483 which drops you right by the West side of Wembley stadium. Cheap as chips and a journey of around an hour.. maybe a little longer on cup final day. You can even break your journey and have a drink and/or something to eat in Harrow. I thank you.

Yes, I hear the club have arranged a tour of the stadium for the Watford players im the morning, they'll be able to take photos with the cup and even get to see where City will lift it later that day.

Biggest FA Cup win was by Preston North End, 26-0.

Biggest FA Cup Final Win was Derby County, 6-0

There has only ever been one hatrick at Wembley in the FA Cup final, in 1953

Being involved in the equalling or breaking two of these is more than achievable on 18th May.

A valid comment. We could well get buried.

They’ll be a lot of upset Watford fathers who’s kids become life-long City fans.

I don’t think that City need their help with those two scoring own goals.

True, but still not as long as at Wembley Station, which is closer. Too many sheep will go to the closest overground station but will end up queuing for longer and there won't be that many Citeh fans as there's only a few trains that can get to Manchester that night because of the 5pm kick off.

We are going to win this one. I can feel it.

3-2 Doucoure winner as a farewell. He then goes to Man City for 50 million in the Summer. We sign Hogg from Huddersfield as his replacement.

Don’t need to sign Hogg though as he’ll come back after his loan period ends. Is this joke old yet?

I believe you need to write that in plural to navigate the swear filter (which i did unintentionally) Or if it was aimed specifically at me i was just giving some advice.. i'll be on the train.

I think that would make a good bet. You'd probably get good odds on 7-0 or bigger.

Going on yesterday, even if it was 0-0 at half time, Watford are still capable of losing 7-0 in the second half. Hattricks from Aguero and Sterling, plus one from Mahrez would be my choice of scorers.

You may well be right about that.
There should not be any problem for city fans to get back, but of course, they would be departing Wembley Central London bound.
There are plenty of trains from Euston to Man Piccadilly, the last direct one being 9.24pm, with a final one at 9.43 with a change at Wolverhampton.

At this rate I'll be setting off on the 17th to make it to Wembley in time. Organising a tube strike for the 18th wasn't enough - my alternative overground route has also been scuppered by engineering works. Think I'll need a drink just to get over the journey, never mind the match.

If this strike goes ahead you’ll be seeing a tubby, five-foot two balding forum member with a face like a pork scratching tied to a gantry after throwing his blue Oyster card at the hairy-arsed engineers.

It's not a full blown strike though is it?

  32. HappyHornet24

    HappyHornet24 Crapster Staff Member

No but, as I understand it, it will still have a significant affect on the tube lines and fewer trains will be running. For me, personally, it is the overground engineering works that have more of an impact as I can now only get to Wembley by going into central London and back out again.
