Oh yes he can :forehead: Loach is doing fine, I think he has pulled off many more world class saves than he has made blunders.
there is nothing between Loach and Lee, one is not better than the other If Loach's confidance is down then we should make a change, as we would elsewhere in the team
Because that'll do him so much good.... It was a howler. End of.... Loach is a great 'keeper. Just ask Stuart Pearce and the England team...
I agree lee is a good keeper but loach is better, dropping him after Sats game would not improve him, he was outstanding at pylmouth without him we wouldnt of got the 3 points some people have a short memory.
and the two goals that cost them the U21 euro final ! The argument goes both ways. For get how good he can be. For their third he didn't even attempt to save it, within 6ft of him, lack of reaction adn lead in his boots, which is really suprising because shot stopping is his best asset
imo loach has got to be dropped he cost us the game on tuesday night, he is supposed to be the leader from the back he never commands his box tels his defence what to do, hes got a big ego now and needs knocking down a peg, he makes too many howlers, we need a solid reliable goalie and he is not up to the job,
That's ridiculous... Loach is a decent 'keeper and form is temporary... Dropping him is the worst possible thing Malky could do...
He only had to make those saves becase he didn't collect the crosses. Even he admitted it after the game. The man is a joke. I've never seen a proffesional keeper make so many errors and still have his place. When Lee made errors he was dropped. Thats the point of having a squad. The amount of errors Loach has made is horrendous, and he isn't learning anything. He still refuses to come off his line. I don't care if he is England keeper in 10 years time. He is **** now, has been utter **** since he came in and will continue to be so, because he hasn't improved at all in a full year of first team games, week in week out. Get rid, buy a proper, proven keeper who will do his sodding job. Oh, and its not a knee jerk reaction. I have clearly said Loach was w@nk since his first game, but back then I was willing to give him some time to improve. Every game a goal is conceded because he won't move off his line to collect hte bloody ball. Lee in.
What all the fuss , he did come off his line to collect one ball on saturday , sadly it went over his head
you cant blame Lee. So desperate was the ball for a breather, all the Cardiff players farted in unison and gave the ball a little bit of a lift to avoid Lee's hands and find its home in the back of the net for a quick lie down.
Because, y'know, "don't head the fooking ball up in the air back across the box, just wollop it clear" and "close down that chap in possession" are obviously things a goalkeeper needs to tell his defence Loach was absolutely nothing to do with the defeat on Tuesday. In fact he was one of the few players to come out of it with any credit. I wasn't at the game on Saturday but looking at the freak goal it smacks of the wind getting behind the ball.
Your views may not have changed in ages, but binning Loach after Saturday would clearly be a knee jerk reaction.... And who are you going to buy...?
Dropping Loach will do both us and him no good. Richard Lee isn't that fantastic otherwise he would have the #1 jersey. As far as I am concerned, Scott Loach has done far more right this season than wrong.
100% right If he had dealt with a simple header in the first place they wouldn't have equalised. He greatest asset is shot stopping, but in the last week 3 goals have passed him within reaching distance, 2 v Cov and 1 V cardiff where he didn't react quick enough to make an attempt at the save. The Error or the goal was something that happens, yes it was a poor mistake but its happened to every keeper at one time or another. I think his frailties lie well away from an individual error, slow feet, poor positioning and non commanding. A lot of pretty basic things for a championship standard keeper.
Hmmm, Hull's second goal in the play offs is still fresh in my mind. Loach will be a great keeper but has a bit to learn yet
Even discounting the second freaky goal ive had a few doubts about Loach and have wondered if it was time to give Lee a go.
3 weeks ago everyone was telling me I was mad because I'd bite the hands off any club which offered us 2m for him. People who think he's worth more are living in Cloud Cuckoo Land.
Never remember Richard Lee making too many mistakes in all the years he's played for us. Anyone else agree?
