    I liked it quite a lot.

    I haven't a clue what it's all about but I found that strangely comforting on a Tuesday in early November,just before dinner time.

    I see Meridensi as a combination of Prince,when he was Squiggle and e e cummings.

    Please don't take this personally, and I don't like to be negative, but this is a terrible song for Capoue, and I would hasten to add that maybe this is reflected by the fact it hasn't caught on. I appreciate the lyrics to football songs don't need to be Shakespearean and taken with a pinch of salt etc but it just doesn't work:

    The idea behind that particular chant is that you compare one of your best players to one of THE best players in that respective position in that era. i.e who needs Sol Campbell when we've got Shi-t-tu. so with that in mind it's worth asking who the fark is Stambouli anyway? Capoue is arguably a much better player so it's hardly a compliment to our lad. The only reason it is sung is because we were reportedly after Stambouli in the summer I presume.

    I'm sorry but it's just poor. We, and the 1881, can do much better.

    Even just something simple like singing 'Et-I-enne' to the same chant as Citeh fans sing 'Sergio' would catch on better. In addition to that there are some great chants for him on the Capoue thread (and the one above is pretty good too).

    As a footnote I would just like to say the 1881 are the dogs nuts and I love everything you have done for the club and the team since the play off final so keep it up but please find a song for Capoue ;)
