He doesn't have to invent one while I'm around.

HURRAR, WE'VE SCORED A GOOL (hopefully, at some point after the Liverpool game but not against Watford)

To be honest, I've not seen him enough - it was for a cheap laugh.

The irony for me is bids for Zaha and Doucs when you play Palarse and us in your first 2 games. There's definitely some psyops going on there.

I read that in my head in a scouse accent - is that correct?

Maybe I'm giving us too much credit, but I think that's a coincidence. The Doucoure link is an obvious one and we reportedly wanted Zaha last summer before we signed Richarlison.

I don’t think Doucoure is the type of character to get upset about bids being turned down. I’m still not convinced he’d even go - I think it’s driven by his agent to potentially get us to pay him more. But he’s not the kind of guy to down tools and sulk either way. The effect on Watford will be minimal if any.

    Zaha however...

Tend to agree with that. I can see Zaha sulking if Palace price him out of a move if he really does have this "gentleman's agreement" with the Palace chairman

I still think you’ll do a deal tomorrow for Zaha. The want ‘north of £80m’ according to SSN...I think it’ll be something along the lines of £75m and add-ons - with the wheels further greased by you selling them McCarthy.

Can definitely see Palace going down though if they let him go.

The Maguire deal has emboldened clubs like ourselves, Palace and Bournemouth over Doucoure, Zaha and Ake and staying the exact cost it takes and not a penny less.

Any footballer worth £50m+ who is relying on a gentleman’s agreement with their chairman to sell them, needs their head examined.

Not if they replace him with Sarr.

Dunno. The numbers involved would make my head spin if we agreed to it. But we do need a winger - it's a priority along with a centre back.

I quite like Palace for some reason, don't ask me why, it's based on nothing I can articulate at all, so I hope they don't go down.

I really don’t think they will. Wages could be a factor but if it’s a straight choice, a Zaha-less Palace isn’t really an attraction.

More or less the response I expected there.

I remember being at Vicarage Road a few years back and being bemused by the stick that Andy Johnson was getting

Palace have a history of players who dived and cheated against us. Sasha Curcic, Andy Johnson and Zaha. Johnson moved to Everton immediately following us going up via his Palace side in the play-offs, so the "rivalry" was fresh on the opening day when he made his Everton debut against us.

Imagine if Doucoure does go, we'd of stolen 100 mill off Everton in less than a couple years.

There's no way you really think you've stolen money from us on the Richarlison deal?!

He scored 13 league goals last season and is now a Brazil regular

If we sold him, we'd not far off double our money already

While they’d have a Brazilian International who they could sell for profit, out best midfielder and got away with disrupting the club a couple of seasons ago by tapping up our manager - and £100m doesn’t really make a dent in Moshiri’s bank balance.

Nah, I'd argue Watford are a better prospect from a neutral perspective than Palace - Watford's model lends itself to ambitious players. It might not be all that palatable for a Watford fan, but the Pozzo model of buying and selling on means that players will see Watford as a real opportunity for progression. Can the same be said of Palace? Not so sure

Wages yes. Not sure Sarr would be bothered over an extra few thousand fans, especially in a slum of a stadium. Bigger club is debatable. And I think Watford and it’s proximity to Hampstead and leafy, wealthy N.London is probably more attractive than Croydon.

And probably the most important factor - if Zaha leaves, I doubt there’s anyone at Palace he’d be excited at playing with.

Iwobi - I thought he would be a good buy for us a couple of years ago, (young home grown lots of pace - finishing needs to improve) as he would have been an upgrade on the Jurado/Amrabat type of players we were going for at the time.

So its disappointing to see that we have missed out on another cracking fee from Everton for a player he wont make it in a top 6 club - £30 million that's enough for Arsenal to take Coutinho on loan

Yep. Has all the hallmarks of him wanting a quality LB (eg. Zaha) and being given Zeegelaar (eg. Iwobi).

Never ends well for Silva so TB9 should expect sulking.
