We could ask I guess. No armchair can just say no. Shame he could have got the place rocking. Richard Johnson played for both clubs, cantilever some pressure on them to do a cheap deal ?
Oh Keighley, what have you done. Just unleashed another 4 pages of Chair puns. Can he play wingback etc etc
Tottenham and Palace are both in much shiitter areas of London than QPR, I can't believe this is even a debate.
There it is. I knew there was a segue between QPR and silly walks. Sorry I didn’t make the connection earlier
If you do it on a pro rata basis, then Everton would surely be up there, lost 84 league games since the start of 2019, which over 46-game seasons would be 102.
Well I’m ignoring any rude comments about Shepherds Bush being an unattractive area. I will simply say that the further you walk away from the ground and from the A40, the better it gets. Just a few of my suggestions here, for pre match and post match possibilities: 12 noon kickoff massively restricts pre match drink options, but opposite the Shepherds Bush Central Line tube you have 1) the official away pub, Belushi’s, which opens at 11am 2) The Central Bar. Good ol’ Wetherspoon place is open very early: straight over the road from Sheps B tube, into the W12 centre and up the escalators or you can grab some food and drink at Westfield: again, not a lot open that early on a Sunday, but there’s some: 3) Bill’s opens early, along the Westfield terrace, would be my choice for a quick breakfast and drink. but also: 4) Ichiba Big Japanese place inside Westfield 5) Ole & Steen bakery style place open from 10.30. Not sure if they serve alcohol The options open up after the game. You might want to try these pubs for late Sunday lunch: 6) Princess Victoria, Uxbridge Road. Nice big old pub with decent food. 5-10 mins from the ground. Might be a bit QPR post match. 7) The Queen Adelaide, closer still on Uxbridge Road. They do food but I can’t vouch for it. Beer here is fine and they normally have a good fire burning. Again , maybe a bit QPR post match. 7) The Crown & Sceptre, corner of Melina Road and Goodwin Road. Slightly off the beaten track. Nice pub with Thai food. It’s a QPR pub but not a hostile environment 8) Shepherds Bush Green pubs: Defectors Weld corner of Wood Lane, big pub with a good Sunday Roast; Sindercombe Social, corner of Goldhawk Road - another large pub. I’ve always had good burgers here. Brewdog, for craft ale and burgers, is across the Goldhawk Road. Nowhere’s particularly cheap, apart from Wetherspoon on the green. 9) a bit further afield, out of QPR territory, you head towards Hammersmith: for a posh pub with good food, try The Anglesea Arms, corner of Wingate Road and Wellesley Road. Definitely not cheap to eat, but if they’re still going into the afternoon then it’s a cosy place with a log fire and good beer. Give them a ring before venturing over. Round off your lunch with a stroll around Ravenscourt Park. Or, 3 minutes round the corner from the Anglesea is The Thatched House, corner of Paddenswick Rd and Dalling Rd. Log fire, good beer and decent food there too. The Andover Arms on Aldensley Road, closer to Hammersmith, is well worth a mention too. Haven’t been for a long time, but always enjoyed the beer and food and log fire in a good local pub. A bit of walking involved, but once you’re in the Hammersmith area, you can get a H&C line train from Hammersmith or from Goldhawk Rd, to Baker St. or Euston Square. Be yellow, black and stripey, be proud. Yoooouuuu ‘Oooorrrrrnns
Minutes applause on Sunday for this young man passing away . https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/24046097.minutes-applause-watford-vs-qpr-organised-daniel/
Last 12:00 kick off we had must of been Lootown last season? Strange that of all the games to move for a Sunday K.O for TV purposes they chose this one. Although the fact this fixture was our original openning game may have something to do with it.
Haha. I do find it takes me to a place of calm. As a non smoker, I actually miss people smoking in pubs. A log fire can mask the smell of pub toilets, stinky old men and the antibacterial spray used on the tables.
I cannot remember what season it was, but wasn't this fixture broadcast live once on standard television? I know we won 3-1 and Colin was in charge of them. Tommy Smith was also a QPR player and did score against us.
Didn't see Healey starting after his poor game v Chesterfield but only way to build fitness is game time. Otherwise nothing out ordinary. Nice to see Andrews and Dele-Bashiru in their correct position.
Glad to see Healey given another run and not dropped after one bad outing. Also surprised/annoyed to see Kone dropped but I guess Ismael will feel he can’t drop TDB after last weekend.
Looks fairly weak on paper but a lot depends on whether some of the inconsistent attacking players turn up today - Giorgi, Asprilla, Martins etc. Glad Andrews is back in there and hopefully TDB can continue where he left off in midfield Need a better game from Sierralta today, although suspect hes in there to man mark Dykes on aerial balls
Yes. People seem happy with the team. Which probably only means one thing! TBD/Healey will probably get injured and Sierratlta has another mare on the ball/given the run around.
Pity we still don’t have Dennis to play up front with Healey. Might have helped our financial situation a little (or more likely bankrupted us further)
Koné needed a breather and Dele-Bashiru plays the same style if not as well. Think 60 mins he'll come on.
