I recall the much the best drumming by fans being at Aldershot - presumably local squaddies. Will the Argyle team be ‘piped aboard,’ as it were, by local sailors?
No I don't want to risk the ban at the moment - last season however, a life-time stadium ban could've been seen as a mercy
I can help here. Your profile says that you're 37; I'm 67. Over the next 40 years, whether you're an 'armchair' or 'in person' fan, home or away, you'll spend most of your WFC-related time wondering why you bother letting it ruin weekends/Tuesday nights. But in amongst it, you'll have my equivalent to: The Taylor years Kaiserlautern at home York away, with a 96th-minute equaliser Getting to know people like the late 'Carrier bag Pete' The play-off finals we won Pre and post-match drinks at places like the Rifle, the Victoria and West Herts Beating Cantona's Leeds United Dragging (and paying for!!) my nieces to home games when I came down to Watford, and some of them going on to season tickets holders My two Sheffield-born daughters being 100% armchair, plastic WFC What's not to like???
You and your fellow travellers have my sympathy. I’m currently having breakfast in bed with Mrs Ilkley, in a nice little flat overlooking Plymouth harbour. We’ll stroll up to the ground after lunch.
I’m very happy to say she’s a keen spectator. Edit: … as are two of our three (grown up) children. Only our middle one supports another team, despite all growing up in Birmingham. Thankfully he chose Villa.
I saw a coach heading to Stansted yesterday advertising the Ashmolean. Made a pleasant change from Dennis Potter.
Sorry to say, I think that now tends to be the time of the season that clubs that have 'thin' squads get found out, as injuries and suspensions start to pile up. I think this would include Watford. I don't know anything about the current Plymouth, except to note they have a very good home record. I hope I'm wrong and, of course, it was not so long ago a poor Watford team beat Manure 4-1 and Liverpool 3-0. So studying form in football is a tricky business, as any bookie will tell you.
I was so blurry eyed at 6.30 this morning I wouldn't have noticed if Kylie Minogue was naked on the side of the coach
Err, could you post a pic of the coach just in case. I can't beat 6:30am but I was in minor injuries at 8:30am this morning for son with wrist fracture due to his younger brother jumping on it. It's the most wonderful time of the year. Hopefully today will be one of those incredible away games that you will remember for decades to come which will make the gargantuan effort all the more worthwhile. We'll done to all those travelling.
Even with Healey and Bayo unavailable, Rajovic shouldn’t be starting. Stick Ince or Martins up front.
God I hope he plays, ninety minutes of Rajovic with no Sema to put decent balls in.... however we do have Colins. Perfect game for Bayo, shame he's suspended.
At least the TDB at RB experiment seems to be over now. Cannot seeing Raj on all game, expect Grieves to come on second half.
