He's not worth anywhere near that at all.

Crap and ineffective the majority of the time even at this level, lazy and completely lacking work rate, doesn't use the one attribute he has, and has one year left on his contract. We'll be lucky if anyone is mental enough to pay even half of £20m.

You can add we’re likely to be motivated sellers to the list too. Not going up this year makes the need to sell more urgent.

To be fair, I don't think he's lazy, but I think he's far too timid and hides away from his day job of trying to get at the opposition. We'll do very well to get £20m off the back of his performances for us, but can we hope clubs still put stock in his World Cup performances?

£25M tops. And let Ubenga and Costa reinvest it into a more balanced side that is younger and hungrier and has potential upside.

Part of the fault is with us having so many managers and no coherent plan but some of the fault lies with Sarr. He has more than enough pace and ability to skin most fullbacks in this division or take two players out of the game. It does not help though with a midfield content to pass side to side and backwards when he is about to make a run in behind. However given his speed he ought to be more than aware of the offside line too. Incredibly frustrating player. Should be a star at this level but flatters to deceive. I think as I said previously his agent has wormed his way into his head too.

If I were his advisor I'd be saying: go and see an independent sports psychologist to help you get sorted, put in some decent performances and then you'll increase the chance of being bought by a club you'd want to play for.

Still think we can sell for £28.1m and so make a small profit.

Completely agree. Dennis is/was a far more impactful player had longer on his contract and went for £20m to a club that were spending like there's no tomorrow. We'll be incredibly lucky to get into double digit millions

Which, frankly, were just about decently average, at best. He basically just made some effort any time he played, which was enough to appear elevated in comparison to his Watford repertoire.

I sadly don't imagine his grand tally of 1 goal (against Ecuador) and 0 assists in 4 games is going to go particularly far in overriding the views of scouts who have watched him be reticent, sluggish, and crap for the majority of the past 2 years, and continually somewhat-underwhelming relative to his reputation before that.

It’s laughable for anyone to think we’d get anywhere near £20m -£25m for him.

The highest offer we got for him with two years left on his deal and coming off a season as a PL player was £25m, and even then that club pulled the plug.

It was said the Everton loan offer was riddled with wildly inaccurate figures, but even they supposedly only offered a £2m loan fee.

With one year left on his deal and a mediocre season as a championship player under his belt £15m would be an incredible result.

We won't get £5m for him. What a tragic signing. Wrecked his career and wrecked our prospects.

    Funny old game, innit.

Watching Sheff Utd playing at Millwall and Sarr's international teammate Ndiaye coming back early from injury to play, and busting a bollock to chase back and win the ball. Huge difference in attitudes.

He’s a much better player than he is showing. It may be a confidence issues, but you never know what is going on in someone’s head.

Quite so. That’s why you need a psychologist to ask them (non-judgmentally and confidentiality).

A typical Sarr game, perhaps slightly more dangerous than usual, but still, not exactly Liverpool levels, and yet he's ended up with a goal (and an assist maybe, I don't know how they'll measure it if it's an own goal)

Start of the second half was him all over. Actually made a decent and direct run, beats two men but then instead of continuing to be direct he pussies out of it and drops on the floor.

Again, I just don’t think he’s a world beater like we expected, can’t argue with numbers, that’s 9 goals now, probably finish on close to 15 (again).

Bonus for us is every time he scores live on Sky he goes up in fan’s estimations, hopefully protecting his reputation as an asset.

I think we've got to a point now where the expectations for him are so low that a goal is enough to say he's met the mark for that game and justified his place in the team in the absence of anyone better.

He barely does anything most of the game. A couple of direct runs on the ball with sprinting per match at the most and they usually end with a dive or a woeful cross. A handful of slower moves forward where he gives away the ball doing slow step overs. He routinely gives the ball away - there were times last night when a simple 10yd pass was on and he'd fluff it. Off the ball he's awful. Watch him closely, not just in his rare exciting moments, and you'll see how little off the ball effort he puts in. Time and time again last night the ball would drop to a WBA player and with Sarr as his nearest opponent he'd have no hassle at all bringing the ball down, getting it under control and laying it off to a teammate. Especially if the ball's in the air. Sarr seems to actively avoid those battles - as in, actively moves away from them or simply doesn't jump to compete.

But whatever. He's clearly a nice guy, a confidence player whose confidence is shot to pieces and who ultimately wasn't responsible for what we paid for him. Hopefully we can shift him in the summer with a mutually beneficial deal.

Not worth more than 8 million. There are bang average players in the championship with better stats than Sarr this season. Couldn’t see him getting a start for any top flight team. He is rarely good enough even at Championship level.

He shouldn't be starting for us. A mid table championship side.

I've thought for a long time we should have benched him and given him 25 minutes as a fresh legged Supersub.

The YouTubers get blinded by his stats but ignore what their eyes should be telling them for the majority of the 90+ minutes he’s on the pitch. He should and could be doing more, a lot more. So he’s got 9 goals, why hasn’t he got more? A lot more? That’s the same as, errr, Jerry Yates who 22nd placed Blackpool signed from Rotherham. And he’s got 6 assists, that’s 1 less than errr, Ken Sema.

At least the tired old forum trope that he creates space for others because he’s double marked seems to have finally died a death, as UAE says above he’s mostly incredibly lazy and makes life incredibly easy for the opposition players around him the vast majority of the time.

He’s an automatic pick because he’ll pop up with a goal and an assist every now and then but in the interim we can’t score against the likes of Preston and QPR.

It's a 'fresh start' for everyone under Wilder, and it is only Brum, but judging by that half, it might be difficult for Sarr to get back into the team...

The 2nd half performance will probably means he will get back in the team as we lacked some pace when we needed to relieve some pressure .
