It was though by Gino above Bilic's head which is part of the problem.

Apparently he has had a hard life so deserved the rest too...

It's like Waiting for Godot with him.
Every game I think ' this time Freddie will turn it on'.

    Nope!

I know it's difficult to play well in a poor side but he's 23 or thereabouts isn't he,not a lad?

    Show some gumption man!

Goodness me, pampered, automatons. Perhaps Brave New World is more apposite.

He’s been a dreadful signing overall.

Sarr needs to turn up tonight, if he does we might actually get something from this game.

Absolutely anonymous again. Fell over multiple times, including breaking up a promising attack.if we are being really scathing he didn't bother putting the effort to move 3 yards to clear a loose ball, directly leading to the corner from which they equalised.

Cannot stand the bloke as a player.

At the end when it’s all hands to the pump he’s just ghosting around doing nothing very much. Completely unable to affect the game at either end of the pitch.

Absolute disgrace today. So many players put in a huge effort in a difficult game and then there is him. Disgusting.

Somebody will be along soon to make some excuses for him being lazy and crap again. Something to do with a full back or a midfielder no doubt…either way, definitely not his fault.

Frustrating doesn't begin to describe him.

Watch him be transformed when he joins his new club AFC Neasden in the summer.

It's quite incredible that he is the club's record signing by an enormous distance, he's a supposedly humble young talent who has never kicked up a public stink about forcing his way out of this basket case of a club, and yet he will still leave in the summer with rightfully very little real fondness or bond between supporters and him whatsoever (outside of a fading half-memory of one performance near lost in the mists of time three years ago). It feels like we barely know him, as much as anything else. A strange phantom of a player, existing in only semi-corporeal form, ghosting about the liminal spaces of the club.

I think he’s more like the worst failure to sell in our history. Pozzo not only missed his peak value - a point at which we probably could have recouped two thirds or more of what we paid for him - but Sarr’s a complete bust now. Seriously think we won’t get into 8 figures for him.

The fan discontent over Sarr is completely justified, he just doesn’t do what it says on the tin. Using Zaroury from Burnley last night as an example. I don’t know the exact transfer fee but using Transfermarkt he apparently cost them 4 million. He was absolutely everywhere last night, causing Gaspar problems constantly and just being an attacking threat. Sarr on the other hand cost around 7 TIMES as much and was not even a fraction of the player. He has a bit of pace but doesn’t take or beat the defender, can’t cross for toffee and generally just doesn’t put a shift in. Sema was far better and he’s only got 1 foot.
Point being that us as supporters are frustrated because he should be a hell of a lot better and he isn’t. He will be another Kabasele and stay at the club for years as that’s the only way the team will get the value back. A 3 million pound player every 10 years will cover it.

I've always been one to back Sarr but last night was not even close to good enough. We were desperately clinging on in the second half and he was jogging back with no attempt to help out. How on earth he stayed on the pitch is beyond me

Completely understand what people are saying about Sarr. almost everything he did last night was underwhelming or awful.
But I understand why he stays in the team. 8 goals and 5 assists. He makes a match winning (or drawing) contribution every 2 or 3 matches, which I don't think many other players will give you.

Don't get me wring, he should be doing so much more with his ability, but leave him out and you lose that. Though maybe starting him from the bench would be a useful experiment for a couple of games.

The whole situation couldn’t have gone any worse if we’d tried. We ‘hung on’ to a supposed promotion difference making player, but without actually ending up with anything remotely close to promotion difference making, whilst simultaneously missing out on a relatively decent chunk of income (completely ignoring what we paid for him of course) at the same time.

Now the next opportunity to sell him will be when he has 1 year left on his deal and a totally pants season as a championship player under his belt, the mind boggles at how Gino will approach that situation.

in that scenario, the big fat signing on fee in lieu of any transfer fee when he signs a pre-contract in January will certainly see his bank balance soar.

I think we’re into the realms of £8m, plus possibly a few million more in clauses or a sell on if he manages to recover his career and earn a big move down the line. Really can’t see big clubs being in for him and unless there’s a PL suitor or two I don’t think there’s any club in Europe that can afford to gamble and stump up £20m. Would love to be wrong though.
