Liked for Micky Quinn, literally he could not move, I would like to say he was so slow it was like watching someone trying to run through treacle but his legs could not even try to run
Steve Butler and Roger Willis as already mentioned plus Peter Beadle if anyone remembers him? Also Scott Loach, a truly awful shot-stopper.
The funniest thing about Oulare was when he went up for a header against Newcastle and looked like he was scared midair. The bloke can high five the clouds and has no idea how to head a football
Colin Simpson came on as a late sub, ran nearly the length of the field with the ball, only to virtually trip over his own laces with the ball going out of touch! Gary Fitzgerald played in the horrendous home defeat by a Luton in defence, was hauled off at half time for Hessenthaler to have to take over at centre half, we were that short of defenders in that game!
No mate he was the managers love child, and started every game in which he proceeded to be truly awful. I hated him.
Scored a screamer at Wolves as I recall as part of a stunning late win after we'd been outplayed, at the start of the season under Boothroyd back in the champ after relegation.
Something like zero goals and one assist all season for an ever present who was also incapable of tackling.
Yes, that was hilarious. Slightly deflected bolt from the blue to equalise late, followed by an even later King pen to steal away with all the points.
I was there, funny as f**k but the Wolves fans were foul and wanting to fight everyone on the way out.
I was at Uni in Birmingham in the late 70s and occasionally went to Molineux. It was exactly the same back then - worse actually.
They are welcome, up to £4 million Worlds gone mad! Hull City have been able to take advantage of Watford's relegation by snaring Ozan Tufan from Turkish giants Fenerbahce on a permanent deal. The Turkish international is on the cusp of sealing a permanent move to the MKM Stadium after City agreed a fee with Fenerbahce which could rise to £4m should the Tigers win promotion. Personal terms have been agreed with the player who is keen to return to England after leaving in January following a difficult spell in Hertfordshire. Tufan was signed amid much fervor last August when he arrived at Vicarage Road from the Super Lig outfit on a season-long loan deal, and so confident were the Hornets about their work in the market, they agreed a £6m fee to make the move permanent this summer, had they remained in the big league. As it was, their relegation ensured they escaped being saddled with a debt for a player they no longer had at their club.
I guess is Hull go up they won’t care much about the add ons. Can’t see him fizzing around the championship though.
Obviously the Turkish link at Hull is key to this but I really don't get the signing. He looked like a whale out of water in the Prem and I can't see him doing much better in the Championship.
Hopefully whatever it is can be passed on to the canteen staff made redundant upon his departure from the club.
Maybe he'll lose more weight ambling around twice a week rather than once, and he'll be close to match fit?
Great day out. Opening day of the season, late kick-off on Sky as I recall? Glorious sunshine, plenty of alcohol consumed on the train up! 1-0 down going into the 89th minute and Jordan Stewart scores a free-kick to level up....Steve Kabba wins a 95th minute penalty which Marlon duly converts to nick the game 1-2. Wolves fans throwing stuff at us from above....absolutely loved every second of it, great day out.
The Fenerbahce statement read: "Our Football A-Team players Mesut Ozil and Ozan Tufan have been excluded from the squad as per the decision taken. It is announced to the public." Has been excluded from the Fenerbahce squad since March 24th
