Do we have any educated opinions on Strasbourg's Ludovic Ajorque around here? 16 goals in Ligue Un this season so far putting him behind only Mbappe, Wissam Ben Yedder and Memphis Depay, to go with a mildly helpful four assists; turned 27 a couple of months ago; and described by the guys from 'Get French Football News' in the Guardian as 'a technical forward who is far more than an archetypal target man'. I see that he's got a contract until 2024, so that might be one of the main stumbling points, but at the same time Strasbourg are a relegation-contending team who are presumably as in need of money thanks to the recent tv-happenings in the French league as (almost) anyone else. That is all moot though, of course, if he's actually total bobbins, and I'll freely admit that I've never seen him play. Does anyone else happen to have done so/run his numbers/prepared some nice scouting dashboards on him?
I've not really looked at him much before. I'm not sure about that GFFN description of him though. My initial impression from clips is that he seems incredibly similar to Mitrovic somehow (except left-footed); it's almost spooky. He seems a decent finisher and good in the air, but perhaps a bit clumsy and lacking in mobility. His best work seems to very much happen close to goal. Not sure if he'd be the kind of striker we'd go for if we desired a bit more of a fluid or counter-attacking style. Wouldn't so no to having him on the bench as a plan B, but might be a bit pricey for that.
Sounds more interested in his pay packet than caring about the club that pays it. We already have Success covering that role.
BILD reporting we’re interested in Kamada of Frankfurt - £25m (rule us out straight away with that fee) https://www.transfermarkt.at/fc-wat...chi-kamada/thread/forum/154/thread_id/1052321
Thankfully BILD is the German version of the Sun. So safe to say it’s nonsense. Either that or they mean Wolves.
He is very unhappy at Chelski, but could we afford him probably not. Maybe Chalobah could talk him into joining us you never know
Origi is a strange one. Occasional flashes of brilliance showing why he has played for some big clubs and has a healthy number of caps for Belgium. Then other times he looks like Andre Gray's less talented sibling.
Also signed a new deal in the wake of his exploits in helping Liverpool win the CL. Really doubt his wages are anywhere near affordable, even if he’s drops them slightly. I also suspect there’d be a number of bigger clubs who want/need a striker who would be ahead of us in the queue.
Victim fc slap massive price tags on their players. If we had to pay £4m for Sinclair, can only imagine what they would want for him. And as said above sometimes looks great and other times non existent. However a solid run of games and it could do him some good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Don’t know what his salary is but 5 websites have 4 figures listed. They were, £33k p/w, £45k p/w, £60k p/w and £77k. All of the articles were written after he signed his new deal as well. Obviously if he’s on £77k p/w, then no chance are we paying that. £60k p/w we can afford but that would severely limit the rest of our signings, is he really worth it? If it’s somewhere between £33k-45k p/w then it’s a no brainer. However, like you, I suspect his salary is probably somewhere between that £60k-77k p/w that’s been reported.
Lampard linked with the Palace job, so I would guess that would be the most likely destination for Tammy Abraham, if they have the money and if he fancies going to a bottom half team
I think Origi could do a job for us. Bit of a difference trying to get into a side with a Sane, Firmino, Salah (and Jota) than a Deeney, Gray, Pedro (and Success). But don't think we can afford him.
https://mobile.twitter.com/MilanPosts/status/1394718312974671879 Apparently we are interested in Jens Petter Hauge
If Muff don't go up they will have to off load their bigger earners / names to balance the books as the parachute money drops. I can see Lerma, Brookes and Danjuma all going if they don't go up, all three that would be good signings and fit into the areas we need to strengthen
Could we sign Priestly Farquharson? Not just because of his exceptional name but because of the pig's ear Keith Andrews made of it just now on Sky! Far queue housing it sounded like! Never liked him.
Only way it makes sense is if it's a makeweight for de Paul as has been suggested in the other thread
Correct on all fronts. Brookes has completely lost his way recently, he's been incredibly mediocre. And that's before even considering that he plays RW and we already have a much better player in Sarr there.
