In the whole game? I think he batted away a hit and hope from Sarr in the second half.

Anyone watch the game tonight and think - this would have all been so much different if Gosling was available?

I can’t fathom the thought process of an owner who sits through all our games and thought Dan Gosling was what was urgently needed.

Chalobah & Hughes in the middle, Sarr on the right, Zinc in the '10', Sema on the left and JP up top.

    4-3-3

    Chalobah, Hughes & Clevs

    Sarr, JP, Zinc/Sema

Even 3-5-2 looks better with our players over the 4-4-2.

I said to my son when we went 1 up that the only problem, if we win, is that it will disguise how **** we really are and nothing will be done to correct it.

I wish we had that problem now. I've realised, too late, that nothing will be done about it anyway. We have been **** for 2 years now and the only answer the owners have is to change the manager. It's not working.

Exactly. Gray is never the answer, but when we’re 1-0 up he’s about as far from the answer as you’ll ever get. He isn’t going to score, or hold the ball up. Bring anyone om but him, in any situation, but at 1-0 it is just utterly and hopelessly pointless.

Anyone want to just punch Gino, Duxbury and Xisco in the face?? Can’t just be me?

I can't even be bothered getting angry about it all any more. You just need to look at our head coach to see that we're not a serious club in the slightest and won't be until Duxbury and Pozzo are gone.

What kind of thundering dullard plays 3 central midfielders and 3 attackers yet shoehorns them into a 442? Out of his depth and it's all on Gino and Scott. The rest of the country will soon be milking themselves into a frenzy as Watford appoint their third head coach of the season by the end of February.

    Ah yes remember that.

We looked dangerous for about 5 minutes then !

We are playing a youngster as a left back where after a shaky start with him and Hughes tucking in far too much he did quite well. We lose the only left back we have for whatever reason and have no natural replacement. This is down to Gino, Meathead and necktie. Ivic was crying out for a left back. But we sold Estupinan under him when he was great against Spuds and never bothered in sourcing an adequate replacement.

Not forgetting the two awful loans.

    I hated 3-5-2. But I hate 4-4-2 more.

We don’t have ideal players for any system - the squad is thoroughly unbalanced and poorly put together. I think 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 are the ones that leave us least exposed to ‘square pegs in round holes’ and play to our better players strengths.

But quite honestly, I think we’d look horrendous however we set up. There’s deeper issues at play.

We might be able to get rid of him, if out there in the vastness of the footballing universe, there is a clueless manager/head coach who's desperate for players and will sign anyone from a perceived "bigger club"/ex-top flight outfit who has no knowledge of his lack of footballing abilities. Hold on, there is a manager, unfortunately he is our head coach. Big, big fail.

Again, this relies on JP up top, when he's also been anonymous for the last few months.

I'd probably still marginally prefer it as well, but I doubt it'd be a magic bullet either

(It also won't happen as Deeney won't get dropped)

Will never happen, and would be harsh on Femenia, but **** it, go with these guys, build for the future. WTE has been OK this season (**** tonight though), is he better than Wilmot, I don't know, but Wilmot has the higher ceiling for sure. JP has done a fine job at times this season up top in that most thankless of tasks as a lone striker. Inconsistent of course, but ffs, provides more than the penalty merchant and the xG terrorist. Zinckernagel...I dunno man, haven't even seen him to judge, it's gonna take an injury to either Sarr or Sema for him to get a sniff now isn't it

He would do better with a side with some decent players in it. That will give him some more space as those other decent players will be occupied so to speak. We are so lacking in creativity elsewhere he will try to do too much and lose the ball sometimes. All he's doing is trying to make things happen because no one else can run at the defences consistently to take the pressure off him. Him having a go is better than nothing. I'm not saying he's worthy of a starting place in a Liverpool or Man City side for example because there is still room for improvement, but a mid table PL side I think he'd do alrite. If he goes in the summer that's fine (and likely inevitable and for how much who knows), but I think we do need him for the rest of the season for reasons I have already mentioned.

Yep. There is no thought in constructing a squad. Was obvious when they couldn't be arsed to get Ivic a left back or a competent centre forward when he wanted to play 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. They just sign whoever is available and then expect the manager to try to shoe horn players into a system.

Yet another transfer window has gone by and we still don't have a single competent set piece taker in the squad by the way. Great stuff.

I think the Gray change was complete disrespect towards QPR. He thought the game was won, thought Gray would come on and get a goal against a **** team.

We ran out of players at the end and played a winger in central midfield after dumping two off over the weekend.

Wonderful stuff all round. We got what we've deserved for months.

    Well that was ****.

Why was Hughes starting on the wing again with two wingers on the bench? Danish Phil must be chuffed with how his move has gone, I know he hasn't set the world alight but getting a few minutes here and there won't help that, especially as a CDM, he needs to get games under his belt. Sema was fantastic when he came on, start one of them and swap for the other if neither have a full game in them. Nonsense.

Don't think JP was very effective this evening but should have stayed on, Deeney couldn't move so Sarr goes through the middle while he stands on the wing, another fine contribution. Not much else to say about AG.

It's just bizarre that we cannot control any games, even against the **** teams we just don't dominate. I hope Dan the Man has brought his super hero costume, I think he's going to need it.

I'm still laughing at those who've spent today trying to justify us signing two players because their dad's are well known.

Same sort of **** went down at Evergreen back in the day.

I don’t really give a **** about our financial situation, we so obviously need a goal scorer, watching our games has quite honestly started to send me a little mad with every 90 minutes. It’s like a form of water boarding, like having to watch those YouTube videos of people trying to reverse park, but endlessly on repeat.

Gino has had precisely one month to trade his way to a situation where we end up bringing a goal scorer in. QPR are in a relegation battle, they don’t have parachute payments, but they still did it.

What did we do in a month? We actually got rid of (an admittedly useless) one. Pathetic.

What we have become, fundamentally, is exactly what all those pundits who'd never seen us play or heard of the Pozzos pissed their pants claiming we must be when they first took over.

Charlie Austin is a much, much better forward than Deeney and Gray. Neither of them could have scored that goal. He's already got as many as both of them have combined all season from open play and he's only been at QPR (a struggling team) for five games.

What on earth does Xisco mean by 'I didn't give the game the right importance'.

That's the kind of thing you expect to hear when you lose to a lower league team in a cup you didn't want to be in, or lose a friendly. It's a league game with 3 points at stake, surely all games should be treated with importance...

    What an utterly **** "performance".

QPR were pretty awful too. A half decent side would have put 7 past us. 20 mins of half-hearted effort at the start of the second half and that was it.

We were not brilliant, but neither were we in any trouble until The Kid started messing for no good reason and took off two of our best players. Sema did OK but why the **** did he bring on Gray? The Kid then makes more unnecessary substitution, and again I have to ask WHY???

The Kid just does not have a scooby doo, and I think we would be in a better league position right now and possibly even in the top two if we had kept Vlad. He might have played some drab football, but at least he knew what he was doing, unlike "The Xcisco Kid"
