Xisco’s interview is painful. He’s got no idea. Has no answers for the questions he’s being asked.

    Looks lost.

I didn’t say he was a bad player, just that he is nowhere close to his transfer value in terms of quality. On this basis that is the reason he is playing for Watford and not in a top league

Hughes, Cleverley, Gosling - Sema, Pedro, Sarr.

I know Pedro is hit and miss, and disappears from games but I would accept that and just play this as often as I could. Just can't stomach performances like Deeney's all season and Gray is just a broken man.

We didn’t trouble them in any way, shape or form from the start.

Gray will rarely be the reason we lose a game. The problem is he’ll never be the reason we win one.

Tonight is me done for the season. I feel so disconnected from this club. Half our players are unbelievably overpaid for what they offer and clearly dont give a **** about Watford. Just waiting for a more lucrative move away.

I just dont care anymore. Spineless players who are lucky to even be in the play offs.

Hive live wont get a tenner from me again.

I haven’t seen it but he had no answers pre-match either. Question goes in, random selection of words comes out. Was this basically the same?

Our general play was poor, but how were we lucky to get a definite penalty?

How many minutes has he played though, there is no way Hughes should have started left instead of Zink or Sema.

That is a big issue though - Sarr and JP looked lost when they played up top together earlier in the season and we were incapable of holding the ball.

Also, this would all mean dropping Troy, which we know is sadly never going to happen.

It’s true. Without that spotty oik in the stands the team’s morale was shattered. We looked beaten from the start.

Apparently Foster has been seen sticking his head in the dressing room at FT. He said

"That's Football!!!" Then left after taking some shots of the goals for his GoPro

It's **** every which way we cut it. This is the least **** I can think of. And you did ask "what would you play?" rather than "what would you play if you had to keep picking Troy like the club will insist on?"...

I know the feeling. I have seen us lose so often over the years and it is a huge disappointment, but, at the moment, losing is infuriating with our style and all the off field nonsense.

What are these owners seeing that we aren’t?. Klopp would have trouble trying to get a decent side from this lot. Gosling must be a world beater if the owners think he’s all we needed in this transfer window.

    Sema should have started.

Sure he's not had many minutes, but he does not look up to speed at present. Sema has been out injured for a few weeks and yet looked our sharpest player when he came on, while Zinc lost every 50/50 he was involved in.

Well without the ventriloquist to put his hand up his backside he cannot say much. If he said what he wanted to he would be out on his ear. We know Gino is insecure and a control freak. Cannot tolerate other peoples failures but is completely oblivious to his own and losing the plot.

Exactly, which is why I find the posters odd blaming this on the 442 when we've generally looked just as rubbish in all the systems we've played and with every personnel permutation we've used.

    Sure, that's fair enough.

So what odds we get an article on the Athletic tomorrow that will include at least some of the following..

The owners felt we are well stocked in the strikers department and felt that, rather than needing to invest, they are confident we will see our misfiring forwards hit form again sooner rather than later.

The owners are generally pleased with how Xisco has hit the ground running, and improved the atmosphere around the training ground.

The club feel Zinckernagel is still young and has played a lot of matches over the past year, so needs to be integrated slowly.

The club feel pleased to have held on to Sarr for consecutive windows in the face of interest from both here and abroad.

The club wanted to hold onto Deulofeu but feel unable to turn down the offer that came in for him.

The club had irons in several fires on Deadline Day but were unable to get any moves over the line, with the potential selling clubs holding out for too much money. (Aka some money).

The board have made an absolute sh*tshow of what should have been a simple return to the Premier League. They still have my backing but it is bad decision after bad decision - like a snowball effect of s**t calls.

The players are an absolute f*cking disgrace. From that Stoke reject in goal through to that fat, shot to s**t number 9. A complete clearout has to come in the summer.

I consider myself a level headed fan. I certainly feel the emotion but don't usually let it cloud my judgement. And ironically, though it may seem this is an emotional take, it comes from a place of clarity and acceptance of the mediocrity that we currently are.

What club would behave like we are right now? What other club would hire a coach from the Georgian First Division, who doesn't have the necessary qualifications to coach in the league we aspire to be in? Us and only us is the answer.

The board have so much to answer for but as per, they will not. It's bad decision after bad decision from the highest level, no matter what twist or turn this season takes, a bad decision from the upper echelons of this club is just around that next corner. Is their much need to talk about the game? The last week or so leading up to it, this almost felt inevitable that on the day that the window is due to close, where again key areas have not been addressed a result like this would happen to really hammer home where we currently are at as a club.

Lets ask the question, is Xisco good enough? Are we qualified to judge? Probably not, but if we don't judge then who will set the bar for what is considered good enough, because by the looks of it, it won't be the board. I'll address what I assume is the one MAJOR talking point tonight, that substitution. Chalobah for Zinckernagel is genuinely, quite possibly, the worst sub I have ever witnessed since I started supporting this club, I won't waste everyones time on why it was so bad, we are all intelligent enough to know but it really drove home two key points. The first is that just maybe Xisco is out of his depth, now I am all for giving managers time but not if that time is just wasted. A harsh take? Perhaps? a fair and measured take none the less? I'd say so.

The second is the severe lack of depth at central midfield. Now we aren't to know what went on with the Garner loan, was it us who cancelled it, was it United, but never the less it leaves us a body lighter than before regardless of your thoughts of him as a player, couple that with the departures of Capoue and bizarrely Quina as well as Dele-Bashiru early season injury, we have 4 central midfielders, and we even tried our best to flog Chalobah today. I remember Duxbury saying he felt we'd lost our way when it came to trusting young players and we want to change that, well nothing screams change than loaning out 21 year old Quina and bringing in 31 year old Gosling, and this is no dig at Gosling, a perfectly serviceable and functional signing well all the other pieces are in place, but alas, unsurprisingly they are not. Speaking of which...

I thought Ngakia did okay today, he did struggle at times but did well in parts, I thought Navarro was rubbish. Can someone tell me why, we couldn't of got shot of Navarro and brought in a left back? Why are we so hell bent on not signing one? Ngakia and Wilmot had spells at left back today, why? Because of sheer neglect.

Deeney has done okay of late, maybe found himself a little role in the team but you can't help but think the wages him and most certainly Andre Gray are on is crippling this clubs ability to invest in that area. I mean, what do we even do with Gray? how has it come to this? Massive wages, massive fee, MASSIVE flop.

I see no coherent plan on the pitch or in the boardroom. No transfer policy, no game plan, squad depth looks like we could well be wedded to 4-4-2. Something is profoundly wrong at this football club and has been since that full time whistle went at Wembley in that Semi-Final. Yet almost 24 months on we are no closer to getting to the root of it and the downward trajectory could quite possibly continue. Troubling times.

Anyway, apologies for the rant. Hope everyone is well and staying safe. Up the Orns and enjoy your evenings!

His game literally doesn’t change in either setting. Maybe it did once but he’s just a terrible footballer all round.

Inexcusable from Xisco tonight. No need to make that sub tonight beyond the fact he’s pre-programmed to make it. The game didn’t need Gray bringing on. The only sub it needed was for Sema to provide more width - and perhaps to have Wilmot on sooner as Ngakia was getting turned inside out all night.

It feels like there are some deep-rooted issues at the club. The board have to take responsibility for hiring an under-qualified coach and leaving the squad unbalanced. We lack creative midfielders, we lack goalscorers and after this window we lack depth.

Munoz needs to take responsibility for his bemusing team selections, lack of tactical preparation and failure to improve the negative mindset instilled by Ivic.

Finally the players on the pitch need to step up massively. They may be hamstrung by the coach and they may not be in their dream system, but there should be enough talent out there to muster more than 1 good performance in 27 games.
