Just popped in to join in meltdown. FFS. Gray. Tonight is the night for him to make fools of us all. Lloyd's hattrick bet will come in.
Why Xisco , why that lineup didn’t work at Stoke and Gray is crap No Sema and Zinc on the bench , shakes head with disbelief Ah well , come on you orne 4 on the trott
Zinckernagel is on the bench. But Gray? Cleverley on the wing again? PZ still benched? SOMEBODY PLEASE MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.
Well... looking forward to a dreadful first half we have no control over, that we'll have to battle in the second half to overcome once competent players arrive.
At this point Zinckernagel must genuinely be starting to get annoyed/wonder why they are taking the piss.
Wtf is Xisco thinking. Incredible lack of respect shown to the requirements of playing on the wing, from a former winger. Unbelievable.
All Gray needs is for one to deflect in off the tip of his Prince Albert and it will specially count for three goals in one, sparking him into life to outscore Toney's entire season tally in just the remaining half of the season.
The only thing I can offer is the pitch will be dreadful and difficult to control. As Gray has zero control of the football I can only assume Disco is thinking it doesn't matter and he will be able to run them around. They will also target Pedro and Freddie to kick seven bells out of so perhaps he is using Gray as a Trojan Horse? Risky.
These things can't be rushed. He will gradually be eased into the starting lineup over the next 5 years.
Not wanting to treat anyone as thick - but the game starts at 7pm tonight...just in case anyone thinks it’s 7:45pm and misses the first half. Mind you, you’d still be as involved as Gray will be even if you do.
Sigh. We need rotating, so he rotates no-one apart from our best player for our worst player. Another lopsided lineup. I see another turgid 1st half coming.
He literally acknowledged that we were sluggish first half against stoke, so why would he go with the same starting line up?
Strange and frustrating. The 2 players I'd like to see most in the 11 are Pedro and Zinc. If he brings them both on after 20 mins I will forgive him for the aberration.
Hopefully Gray trips over one of the uneven dents in the pitch and goes off. Pedro comes on and suddenly we look confident again. Unless he "got some" off Leanne last night in preparation and his mojo is back.
If Sema was rested for Stoke and not in the squad tonight it could be he's struggling with post covid. If thats the case he should be resting 100% til he's ok.
Whilst I admire JP's willingness to give as good as he gets I expect Millwall will have targeted this aspect and it just may make a teeny weeny bit of sense. I will of course be ready to kick myself all the way to Bermondsey when Gray misses another hatful and zimbos the ball into the Harry Cripps Hospitality box from six yards. All day I've had flashbacks to the cup game under Nutty Walt. NURSE!
I really don't understand how any of these excuses about 'opponents being big' and 'bad pitch' hold any water - the antidote to that is not to try and match them for orcish thuggery and industry and cede control of the ball - the antidote is to employ players of greater skill to play around the large opponents - it's literally the whole f ucking advantage our squad has over them! We might as well have Mike f ucking Bassett in charge, the thinking is regressive enough. The fact that the players we are fielding aren't any better at hoofing and winning the ball in the air is just another delightful ingredient to this shi t sundae of a lineup. Our best forward aerially is Joao bloody Pedro.
