Burn down the Xisco Hang the blessed Capoue Because the hoofball that they constantly play It says nothing to me about my life.
Underwhelming is an understatement. But he’s here now so am going to support the guy and hope he does well. Let’s hope he can last more than the 6 games it took before the Ivic Out thread started . Moogspierre and his reign of terror will barely have the chance to wipe Ivics blood from the guillotine before they start sharpening the blade for Xisco.
Initially he said he's done with Watford if the appoint this clown, now he loves him and wishes they'd given him a long term deal.
You’re not a Watford fan if you don’t want this absolute no-mark sacked immediately, before he can do too much damage.
Sorry to break it to you but we don’t have any say on whether he’s sacked or not . So you might as well give him support . I doubt whether he’s in the country yet and you want him sacked ?
With any luck, he won’t be allowed into the country, and we’ll never have to suffer the ignominy of having him on the sidelines as our coach.
Funny that this was rumoured even the day before the Huddersfield game - indicates the writing was already on the wall for Ivic and could have been part of the reason why the team played as if it didn't matter what happened during the match.
Ok so as I was just about the biggest critic of Ivic on here recently, I’m in no position to come on tonight and moan about today’s developments. But actually I wasn’t going to anyway. Despite being just about the most negative poster on here recently, I’m actually feeling quite optimistic. From what I’ve been told and read for myself, I’m hopeful this guy might be a good fit for the current squad we have, and the way we are best set up to play. We’ve all moaned in the past at us seemingly not picking a coach that’s best suited to the players we have, but I’m hopeful this appointment will be different. I totally get the criticism about his lack of managerial experience, and that’s it’s yet another left-field appointment by an owner who seems to be losing the plot. Well Joka was an appointment out of nowhere that got us up, QSF a surprise choice first time round but one who kept us up, Gracia a seemingly random choice who took us to the cup final, and even Pearson none of us saw coming, yet came within a whisker of survival. And if I’m to be fair, even Ivic wasn’t a disaster in terms of results. He leaves us 5th and in with a chance of promotion. It was just his playing style and manner that did for me. Yes I’d far rather have got Eddie Howe. Yes I fully appreciate this has the potential to be a disaster. Yes I appreciate other clubs must be looking at us and wondering if we’ve gone mad. Yes I know that the owners don’t really deserve our trust of late. But trust them I’m going to do. This is their business, not a play thing. It’s not in their interests to mess up. They’ve seen something in this guy, they think he could be a good fit, and I’m looking forward to seeing if he will be. Lol if too many people post replies to this saying I’m talking nonsense, I will have to revert to the negative miserable Malts of late. But hopefully not! Ps don’t forget muff sit second with a manager who had NO matches in charge of a team when the season kicked off.
So how long will he last? Tough start. Norwich (h ), Millwall (a ), Swansea (a ), Man Utd (a ). Not too sure it's worth looking beyond that right now. Lose the lot, which is entirely possible, and he could be gone. That would be a little extreme though, so I'll pad it out to 10 games as my prediction.
All in a good post, I just hope you now realise just how unlikely Eddie Howe was/is to ever manage us when you look at what we actually ended up with.
Now we really are a bunch of "COWBOYS" with the........................ "C(X)ISCO KID" As our new leader
We wanted Eddie Howe and made an enquiry but he stuck to his ‘not available until next summer’ stance. He will be here next season!
I note he used to play as a winger - can he teach anynone in our team to cross a ball on a conistant basis and manage to beat the first man at a corner/free kick? That will probably be his first row with the players. Telling them they are rubbish at them and they won't like it.
It is a tough start. Could easily take only 1 or 2 points from first 3 league games and be instantly under massive pressure.
I'm worried that no matter who the manager is, can we find a way to create a winning team that accommodates Deeney?
My son should be the next manager. He has just chosen Watford on his Xbox. Played PSG, he won 5-0. Deeney scored 4 goals. Deeney seemed quite happy, though a little robotic. He is also quite at good at Subbuteo. He prefers to wear Bayern Munchen or Olympique Lyonnais kit these days. He is 8 yrs old, this should not hold him back regarding experience. He knows his way round the downhill slopes, so he should be a perfect fit.
Just seen on twitter that we have gone through so many Managers that we can cover every letter of the alphabet, just as well we go for those with the Q's, X's, Z's and Y's. Apparently it's a World first and Rangers were hoping to beat us to it, ironically they're short of Q, S, and F
Prior to being Xisco's Assistant at Dinamo, Roberto Cuesta was a coach at the Marcet Football Academy in Barcelona for 3 years. They run intensive football courses, sometimes play matches vs Espanyol and Barca youth teams, and some of the kids then get signed by La Liga or other professional clubs: https://marcetfootball.com/en/ He earned a Master's Degree in Football Coaching in 2016 from Universidad Camilo Jose Cela, and then another Master's in Football Coaching from the official Spanish FA in 2017. Here's his LinkedIn page: https://www.linkedin.com/in/roberto-cuesta-a7a77a138/ And he looks like this: As for "something positive"? Ermmm, he has experience developing Spanish youngsters. JP could do with a bit more coaching and speaks Portuguese, which is kind of similar?
