Perfect! Being active on Twitter is simply the best credential needed to be a professional football manager. Apparently he also has some good selfies on Insta as well so should be brilliant. He may like to play the ball on the floor but its not as if we have been hoofing it under Ivic anyway.
Draft something on Microsoft Paint, make sure your agent is in cahoots with Gino and ‘Welcome to Watford’.
Who the f*ck is this guy!? I don’t even know what to say about this appointment, he’s managed a handful of games in bloody Georgia and I’m baffled as to what qualifies him for this job. Seems to me the club are constantly having to hire & fire due to their own piss poor decisions in the first place.
Not gonna write him off on day one, but, you know... it's a mad one. If this doesn't work out then I think Gino and the boys can kiss goodbye to any shreds of respect they still receive from the fans. 11 games in Georgia. Classic.
Is this a dream? Has Gino got an ass's head? Has F***sbury turned into a raspberry blancmange? Beyond parody.
The fact it’s such a left field appointment, with no obvious reason on the surface as to why we would appoint him, I’m actually cautiously optimistic. Because if he isn’t some sort of hidden gem genius then Gino, Scott & co have officially lost it. I guess that’s a win, win. He either gets us promoted or he’s as awful as his credentials say he will be and we can all officially join the Pozzo Out camp. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jokes aside it’s just utterly bizarre. You could maybe (but still not understand it) accept it if it had been 11 games in the premier league. Even then how often do you see caretaker coaches do well for 10 or so games in the Premier league (or any league) and then fall off a cliff performance wise. But its the bloody Georgian league! 11 games wouldn’t tell us anything if he’d won every game 20-0. Completely ****ed up.
They've even put his name on masking tape on the official welcome picture. Look closely and you can see Ivic still written underneath. Doesn't bode well.
I doubt its completley left field Im sure some internet sleuths can check and will find out that Munoz belongs to the same agency as a bunch of **** players Watford/Udinese have signed over the last few years
Ok I see it’s official. Bizarre choice to say the least , but who knows? Lets see what this guy can do ...
Hang on, lads and lasses before we go doubting this guy, the official statement says he's also had coaching experience (turns out he was interim coach) at Pobla de Mafumet in the *checks notes* fourth tier of Spanish football. Now if that can't get a tune out of £35m Sarr then nothing will!
One thing that hasn’t really been put together on here...is that this appointment perfectly explains everything that went on yesterday. I don’t believe ‘Deeney’ has been the instigator of Ivic going. He and Ivic have clearly butted heads but it’s a convenient smokescreen, hence the clubs extremely weird statement that they didn’t need to make. The stories about Xisco appeared in the week. Someone with loose lips obviously spoke to someone they shouldn’t have. Ivic will have known the writing was on the wall, probably knew Deeney has the owners ear and assumed Deeney has acted upon the squads general unhappiness with Ivic. Who knows if that’s true. But I bet that’s why Deeney was dropped and would make sense why the club were confused at talk of ‘disciplinary’ issues.
Absolutely unbelievable. They’ve actually appointed him. This is a new level of penny pinching, cost cutting, slapdash recruitment from Gino and co. They have lost my trust now. I’ve said it on other threads but time to go now.
Anyone know anything about any of his backroom team that’s listed? Please tell me something positive about any of them... There’s also no mention of his contract length. Oh I do wonder why. Shame on the club for saying lessons had been learned.
Ok maybe he will do well, maybe he won’t. He’ll be gone before we know it anyway. If we do somehow go up our incompetent and shambolic owners will either not give him a contract with a pay rise for promotion or won’t pay for the coaching badges he needs to manage in the EPL. Literally couldn’t care less now. Although I will be morbidly curious following our long drawn out collapse into League One or Two football. Hope I’m wrong of course, but smacks of arranging deck chairs on the Titanic at the moment.
This is what our club does to us. We start to think "he's so ******* unheard of and inexperienced, this just could work...".
