If it's nil nil after 80mins then chuck on Perica and see if he can do something. But Ivic generally uses subs earlier than previous managers so not sure.
I'd imagine Perica will come on before that, the club put out a lot of content with him pre-game, would be weird to give it all the build up to either not play him, or just give him a few minutes
Why play the best player in the division, who might be a bit rusty. Far more sensible to play the absolutely guaranteed pile of shyte, Chalobah.
Ken is in the team so all will be fine. Will Ken be the first player to play in all positions in a single season?
To add, JP wants to play every game but you would want to make sure that he needs rest sometimes. Deeney not in the squad. Even Perica and Murray get the nod. No sign of Will or Dre yet. Capoue is back though. Sarr yet could be a good call against a good attacking side like Rovers.
Pleasing first half overall. We lead but now by just one. Question is do we sit back and defend it or go for the third? Muff winning yet again.
A funny half. Good in attack but they are too so our defence is getting tested well. Kabasele having one of his iffy games!
He certainly played most as in those days the number was closely linked to positions. He definitely started the last game in goal.
3-1 but Foster been MOTM. Blackburn have been very good attacking wise with their pace causing us all sorts all of problems in defence.
Garner excellent. Foster MOTM. Pedro ok. Wilmot v. Good. Ivic the new special one. Forgot Sarr. Different class
That was a breathless, fantastic game of football. So pleased to win that. Blackburn outstanding (apart from defence...)
About time we looked good in attack and hopeless in defence!! Thank goodness we kept Sarr and Foster was on form.
Another average performance but another three points and an enjoyable game. The usual suspects were poor in the likes of Cathcart, Chalobah (bloke really is finished) and Femenia. Much better once Ngakia and Capoue - who was comfortably the best, most classy player on the pitch - came on. Defence was pretty awful for the first time this season and Blackburn could have had 5 or 6 if Foster hadn't been at it, despite his poor goalkeeping for their goal. Troost-Ekong needs to be in that back three as often as possible. Cathcart is old, poo, and a relic from our abysmal previous season. Stop playing Sarr up front.
Yeah they played some really nice stuff up top, Brereton is quality. Holtby is seasoned. Armstrong scores goals and Harvey Elliot has a high ceiling. They will cause teams problems all season.
That was the first game in a long long time that was actually enjoyable to watch, probably since the Liverpool game. Well done lads.
