Do we reckon he will end up in the championship? I'm not sure there will be many premiership clubs lining up to take him on. On his day is very talented, but you have to question his work ethic.
I'd love him at the club. Would be an absolute Gino move to shock us all and sign this gem. He's not injury prone anymore, still could play for England and if, and that's a big if, we can get him purring - I think it'd be a 100 point plus season.
Maybe we could put him on a shared pay-as-you-play contract with Welbeck. They could collaborate to see if they could manage a full season of appearances!
I think he was a boyhood West Ham fan, was at Luton as a child though but ditched their academy when Arsenal come calling. Anyway what would they pay him 50 quid a week and a packet of biscuits?
I know we had another West Ham midfielder on Trial in our last U23s match - perhaps that's the one he was referring too? The fact that Wilshere was fully fit and couldn't find his way into the starting lineup at West Ham speaks volumes. the fact that he took to twitter to point it out even more so.
Another one of those players from the supposed golden England decade from the early 2010s. Blown it by bad lifestyle choices and dodgy ankles.
I know for an absolute fact he was on a basic salary of £125k a week at WHU. Absolutely no chance he goes to the championship.
If we were after anymore West Ham players, we should have made a bid for Cullen, and Harrison Ashby on loan
