Stevenson left back I think. Akyagwa (a real test for predictive text) alongside Wilmot and Sierralta.
Wilmot is certainly getting some game time... really hope he doesn't get crocked in this high profile encounter. We'll need him at the weekend.
Yeah just found out from official website that Akyagwa , who is Dutch, is a CB. Chalobah, Phillips and Quina is solid midfield. They should be bossing this game.
Let's face it, Pussetto is just there if we have an absolute crisis in positions he can play. Same as Friday, he'll be the last resort to come on because they will want rid of him/he wants to leave. I suspect our lack of fit wide players means he's there by default. As for the rest, even by League Cup standards....F*cking LOL. Let's be honest, we all knew the cost-cutting etc would be bad - but even the most positive of fan's can't have thought it would be 'Jerome Sinclair is starting' bad.
Tom...I’m going to call him Dutchie from now on. I spelt it right first post I did, but it went wrong the second time!
It's a massive chance to move above Swansea and Rotherham in the table. Just hope that our heroes don't blow it.
I’ve always quite liked Sinclair but I appreciate he’s not everybody on the forum’s cup of tea. * nobody else on the forum’s cup of tea. Playing against one of his old clubs tonight.
Correct, Oxford with 8 changes and us with 8 changes. They're also starting with the 3 players they brought off the bench, and we're starting with 2 of the 3 players we brought off the bench.
Big Jerome Sinclair is going to destroy these Oxford farmers. His whole career has been building up to this point. Gino's secret weapon finally given permission to activate. 2-0 Oxford, tough evening for the Hornets.
It’s actually quite funny. We’ve gone from Premier League to League One in the space of a few weeks. What an incredible demise.
Important Quina puts in a performance after his shocker last week. Looked good against Spurs and we know the potential is there, so hopefully he’ll put Friday behind him and look after the ball properly. I like the idea of building a partnership between him and Chalobah in the middle, and they both linked up really nicely in the Spurs friendly.
Yeah they both good in tight positions. Chalobah needs to be displaying more of his quality on a more consistent basis.
Stevenson is left-footed and seems to mostly play LB or LWB, it will be him. Agyakwa is very much a CB. Interested to see Agyakwa play another senior game, from what I could tell in the Crawley game he seemed promising. Also intrigued to see how good or not Perica appears.
Don't understand why Pussetto doesn't at least get a chance, ok with the rest of the team given the circumstances.
Because we don't want him injured and he very likely feels the same... I'd be massively shocked if he comes on. Making up the numbers - I know he's not great but I think we can be confident he's better than Stevenson so its obviously not a question of ability in terms of tonight.
Prediction: Stevenson turns out to be ace and becomes our first choice left wing back and at the end of the season, we're all saying how lucky we were he got a chance in this game. (I have nothing to back this up and don't even know what his first name is, let alone where we got him from)
No harm in that? If we get turned over by a team from a lower division, as we did last season, our fringe players don't get enough competitive football.
From what I've seen of him already he's pretty slow for a full-back/wing-back, so don't too excited about him.
