We're definitely getting lower quality from them than in the Zola season

 

It looks more like Ingelsson than my guess of Janjeva!

But I'm certain he's been playing left-back for the U23s so far which doesn't fit in with Ingelsson. Janjeva is at least a defender.

 

Think these types of thing are why we aren’t being given much info from the club at present - some of these guys will likely be trialling with us.

Cleverley can be decent in an advanced role, total waste of space as a defensive mid

 

Gray controlling it 10 yards away again I see, good job Cleverley was there to mop up for him.

Most pre-seasons we play a game or two behind closed doors and only find out about it afterwards, so I wouldn’t worry too much about today’s lack of updates.

3-5-2 isn’t my favourite formation but it got us a clean sheet and one of the wing-backs scored, so job done!

Tidy goal. If that’s the way we will play this season, imagine the damage the likes of Sarr and Pedro etc will do from the flanks.

I think today was more interesting for who did NOT play than who actually did. We will look a long stronger when the campaign gets underway but today will have shown Ivic a number of players who will have important squad roles to play over such a long season.

I wonder if today was the coldest ever match we’ve played in England in August. Brrr

In an ideal world how many of this line-up actually starts a Championship game? 3 or 4 at most. The only certainties in my opinion would be Foster, Ngakia and Quina. You could make an argument for one of the centre-backs, but it's just a case of who partners Wilmot, one of those three or Dawson.

When we add Suarez, Estupinan, Hughes, Capoue?, Sarr, Wilmot and Pedro to that line-up, it really is a completely different prospect. It's nice to know that are second XI aren't completely incompetent though.

20 year old defender, barely played and released this summer. I doubt he'll play much if he does sign, but I'd like to be proven wrong.

I was just compiling a number of pictures to try and work out who he is!!

Definitely played left-back against Crawley and as we don't have a natural left-back in the U23s he could well be on trial for that group.

 

Interesting - Was 52 Success? If so, shoving that bloke like he stole his baileys was more committed than normal.

Also - Number 25 - I want to say Pussetto? But if he's going back to Udinese could it be Perica?

 

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I think 52 was Hungbo and 25 Perica.

Thought Sema did well in the Doucoure role. He looked strong. Gray.....well what can I say........he so wants to be good, but he's just hopeless in front of goal....just hopeless.

Thought Ngakia and Quina stood out too, but we looked a bit rusty at the back.

Yeah he was the same guy that we were both unable to identify in that photo the other day.

Turns out Leyton Orient lost him from their academy at the same time as Teddy Perkins:

So that's now Perkins, Dalby and Stevenson who we now have that were all at Orient together.

Definitely rusty at the back. Cathcart and Kabasele both with mistakes that went unpunished. If we are to proceed with the 3-5-2, Masina is just too slow to play on the left. Estupinan would suit that position perfectly though. My only concern is how we fit Sarr, Suarez and Pedro into a 3-5-2.

 

25 is definately Perica and after a quick google 52 looks like Dan Phillips. Number 28 near the end of the highlights on the scunthorpe website is Suarez i believe.
