All we need is Quina. Hold on to Sarr and Estupinan and Suarez. They will eat the Chumpionship up. Get rid of all the detritus. Bring in a couple of experienced Chump players and some youth once the dead wood is sold.

Offer the club to PDVSA or Petrobras. That way we get two nations behind us.

Well it seems the Pozzos want a manager who will play the youngsters more but I presume they also have to win games ASAP.

No manager is gong to think they might be here long term enough to build a team .

I want a new head coach that will play entertaining, attacking football and will drill the team on at least a couple of different formations.

I want young players (including academy players) to make an impact and the old deadwood cleared out.

Hopefully a top half finish, then kick on and look to finish top 6 and win promotion the year after.

If we stay up we get relegated with little to no fight and finish rock bottom.

If we go down, we'll need a few years to sort out this mess, so play-offs should be the realistic goal but wouldn't be surprised to see us finish just outside.

All these players with potential will either be flops or never play for us and we'll probably have to rely on those that want to remain here for next season.

Either way, there's going to be some angry fans who will threaten to never watch us again (but they will, or they'll return if we're doing well).

  7. GoingDown

    GoingDown "The Stability"

The Championship will be as weak as ever next season. If Fulham don't go up via the Play-Offs, the parachute money runs out. Derby/Sheff Weds likely to be docked points and start behind. Teams coming up from League 1 won't be a threat.

With the exception of the relegated teams and Brentford if they don't go up - there aren't many big threats - maybe a resurgent Middlesborough - but I see no reason why we couldn't go straight back up - even with a squad overhaul and the loss of a few 'big names'.

All depends on how serious the owner is.

I think the owners will be aiming to go straight back up, I can see us looking quite strong next season.

Some decent players available on a free. We need to find next year's Watson. I would say another Toszer (for the fk's), but our squad is already full of them.

Poach Dyche from Burnley. I don't care if we turn into them with Yellow Shirts, he was a good manager when he was in charge of us. He was building something or trying to.
Do not get me wrong, the football under Zola was electric and we played with passion - but we never went where we needed to go under him because we tailed off and didn't even
    turn up at Wembley.

Dyche knows how to get a side organised from the back to the front - he has proven he can do it and transformed them from a relegation threatened side to a mid table/europe chasing
side. We have attempted that with Gracia, but the players we have now are such bottle jobs come the crunch and big games, we will never achieve that. Not to say Dyche is anyway at the
level that GT was for us, but he was a grounded people person who most fans liked and of course an ex hornet.

Just an idea - it would never happen. But Gino needs to understand if he wants us to be "best of the rest" we almost need to press the reset button and build a new side. I sort of want us to
get relegated thinking about it like that. If we stay in this division, finances aside being a bonus - do you really think another 38+ games of stress will do any fan or player any good? This crop of players have shown 85%
of them don't care and want a move away in the break.

Why on earth would Dyche come back? I agree he's the sort of manager we need, but so was Pearson imo.

I think Fulham still have one more parachute payment next summer don't they? Either way it's going to be reducing if they stay down. But then their owner is another crazy billionaire so I figure they'll get by.

    If we stay up:

Build the team around Sarr, integrate loan players (Cucho, Estupinan, Suarez) into the team.

    If we go down:

Sell off saleable assets (Sarr, Deulofeu, Doucouré, Pereyra, Suarez, Estupinan)

    No matter what:

Employ a head coach who likes to develop youth players (Wilmot, Quina etc.)
    Make Hughes captain.
Deeney at most a squad player.
Get rid of deadwood (Gray, Holebas, Mariappa, Cleverley, Success etc.)
Investment in the defence (as appropriate for the league we are in)

    NO MORE HOOFBALL

I think that is what the Pozzos want but they don't pick managers who will play those youngsters and built an ageing squad.

Indeed-they have no debt and he funded the £120m purchase of players last season by injecting capital not loans. This season the sale of Sessignon to Spurs covered their outlay.

He is also covering the £100m cost of developing the ground making it 30,000 capacity by start of 21/22 season. It includes flats as well as retail shops/cafes so not pure seating.

Fulham will still have a year of parachute payments (although they will reduce next season, and of course they may well be shorn of their best player by an absolute country mile). Middlesbrough will be interesting, parachute payments I think have already ended, but with an open division, and a manager who knows how to get teams out of it, you never know. You get the feeling Brentford could be absolutely raided if they don't go up, just an absolutely stupid amount of young talent at that club. Norwich concern me, it's almost like this season was spent focusing on bouncing back next season, although as I've said elsewhere, if Bournemouth join us back in the Championship, it could be a long hard struggle for them, as we all know they've spent beyond their means for a long time

Welbeck for me is a certainty to go if we drop down, he's trying to prove himself for the Euro's and is back to fitness, he won't be in Southgate's mind if he's in The Championship.

I can pretty much see him as a use for any team from 8th place downwards (barring arsenal).

Don't forget Stoke, they've shown top six form since Michael O'Neill came in and recent results (1-0 against Brentford and 4-1 at Forest) suggest they could be contenders.

What makes you think that lot couldn't do it in the Championship, even Holebas could be useful for another season or two? Teams don't have the skill and creativity to capitalize on the mistakes that have got regularly punished in the Premier League and defences are weaker.

Get in a loan or two as well from the PL. Much as I detest Abu Dhabi (don't we all) get in Doyle and Harwood-Bellis perhaps. Young and vital and with ability. We might as well because apart from Phillips and recalling Wilmot no youngsters of ours are ready to challenge in the positions they play in.

Absolutely no chance on earth he gets anywhere near the England squad! He will be focused on just staying fit and playing regularly. He will still be with us next season in the Championship and if he stays fit and is played centrally he will score a hatful!
