I'm still laughing at the fact we sacked Pearson with two games to go. I'd argue there's a case for relegation almost being deliberate.
Sadly (well, maybe not sadly) I think my 20-year season ticket holding stint will come to an end. Was on the cards anyway given the newborn daughter and moving over 100 miles away... plus a squad I'm really struggling to like. What I'd do for an Allan Nielsen or Heidar Helguson in this gutless squad. Give 'em a good boo for me if you change your mind.
Correct, absolutely embarrassing. This season and the general miss management of the club has been a disgrace. There will be no season ticket money paid out by me for next season, the first time in many many many years.
If you don’t understand why two posters immediately picked you up for the same thing then you need to grow a brain.
Same for me and a few mates. It’s not enjoyable. That squad makes me embarrassed to be associated with the club. It will be strange not renewing and going but also liberating to have time back to spend doing things worthwhile that bring enjoyment.
If you and one other poster don’t understand basic English then that’s your problem and his/hers, not mine. The one needing a brain is certainly not me.
Before lockdown some of the results were crap (Villa, Brighton, Everton) but at least we were getting into winning positions during the game. You felt we’d eventually hang on to enough of them to make it over the line. Since we came back, it has been awful. Just the loss of Gerry D or did the Pearson toxicity fire up in the lockdown break?

All this talk of not renewing season tickets, am disconnected with this squad, etc. Isnt this just a normal human reaction to getting relegated and when the smoke has cleared we will all love our club again?
Fair play to Villa, they're crap but organised and motivated. We have rarely been either. We'll finish second bottom and hopefully Ballmouth will go too.
Struggling to put my despair into words. I can’t stop loving my club but this outcome will hurt so many people. Jobs will be lost, the town will feel economic pain and I fear it will be a few seasons before we have a team that delivers more wins than defeats. We are back to ground zero. Something has poisoned our club and those responsible don’t truly suffer or care. They’ll drift away and leave the good people to clear up the mess. We’ll rediscover our values and time will heal the anger and pain. This relegation hurts more than any other because it was so avoidable. Gutted.

To be honest I'm too downbeat for a ruck, but I'd say you are a posterboy for the kind of people we will need to put up with over the next 6 months. A person who has lambasted posters critical of Pozzo and signalled their virtuous fan status. Yet now it has all blown up in their lap, a poster like you will claim you called it all along. Recruitment was poor. Pozzo model is flawed. Etc. Etc. GoingDown called it, and I guess we will just need to put up with if from the likes of you. You know the truth yourself though. And so do the rest of us.
You are literally proving my point and making yourself look stupid. Not once in that post do I say we’re down because of the fans on here who wanted us in the championship. I simply stated the fact that posters on here who have been banging on about being back in the championship will be happy. It’s very simple.
For me personally, no I've been a season ticket holder for 15 years, i've seen worse Watford teams, play worse in worse leagues against worse opposition, coached by worse managers and owned by more deplorable characters. Yet i've always renewed. Something about this current situation feels fundamentally different. Whether we stay up (lol) or go down, won't make a difference to my decision either. For the first time ever, I simply don't recognise or identify with this club very much any more.

Depends, if any five of Foster, Femenia, Gray, Deeney, Cathcart, Dawson, Kabasele & Masina are in the 11 for the first game of the season then no I will not love my club again. If Gino hires Claude Puel then no I will not love my club again. At the end of the day you more often than not get what you deserve, and our moron owner and his puppet Giraldi, and our idiot fans who insisted we were "far too good to go down", deserve it. The club has embarrassingly mismanaged this season to the point of complete and utter negligence, but beyond that it's been brewing for some time, which makes it even worse. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this may not be anything like our lowest low in terms of our standing as a club, but this is my lowest point as a fan because I thoroughly despise 95% of our squad and the people running the club and how they are running it.
I agree. I wasn’t looking for an argument, not even a 5minute argument, but some people want to pretend there hard and all that. So I gave it back and now they look stupid. For some reason he wants to keep going, so I will also.
One thing I don't get is the ridiculous lay odds on Bournemouth. We'll lose, Villa will probably lose meaning a Muff victory could be enough. Cracking odds.

Spot on. Not sure if it’s because it was so avoidable? Not sure if it’s because me and every Watford fan I knew could see it coming yet the hierarchy thought Dawson & then Puesseto in January was enough. Not sure if it’s because the Chairman of my football club never talks, our CEO good be dead I haven’t heard from in so long and we have a Technical Director with no CV who seems to call the shots and nobody knows what the **** he does? I find it sad that some posters seem to care more about crowing that they were “right” about the Pozzos than they do about the fact that tonight we are facing relegation - and all the implications for a club that come with it - in the face.
I have no idea why our own fans want us back in the championship, ask them. Go back and read their old posts. Off the top of my head, I remember reading things like, the mediocrity of the Prem, the emptiness of the Prem, it’s all about the money, don’t care for the fans now we’re in the Prem, and so on and so on. I don’t want to back in the championship. It’s a grubby little league that is extremely difficult to get out of. I would take being in the Prem all day, even if it means finishing between 17th and 11th season after season. For some bizarre reason, multiple posters on here turned their noses up at that, and longed for the days of championship football. So again my original post was to those that must be celebrating this relegation with their dream of being back in championship like they have wanted.
Both Bournemouth and Villa have looked decent since the restart. They've gradually got to grips with things and have chipped away results by being prepared to have a go. Bournemouth will probably go down with us, but I expect them to still finish above us. We'll end up 19th now. Villa have been compact and organised. They've really battled hard, stayed in games and ground out results. Bournemouth have looked dangerous and lively going forward. We look utterly hopeless. We're just as bad as Norwich and have no right being in the Premier League. We're just a complete embarrassment. Football is strange though. Maybe we'll go to Arsenal and get a point and maybe Villa will lose. I can't see it though, and we don't really deserve a reprieve. We've not wanted it enough. We need a serious clear out and I don't care who we sell. I don't rate any of them. None have an ounce of fight in them and there's no chance this lot will get us promoted next season. They are not winners. We need players who have fight and desire. Our lot have been decent enough players in the past, but they cannot control a ball, play under any pressure, cannot string a pass to another colleague. They are just so utterly hopeless that we have no need for any of them. I'm sure Watford wont sell their entire squad, but something radical needs to be done, as this lot will drop through the Championship like a brick in water.
