EFL statement just now saying matches going ahead this weekend with crowds in attendance as part of a ‘consistent approach’ with the Premier League and in the absence of government advice to the contrary.
2011's "Contagion". I happen to know a chap who works in this area and he says it's pretty much bang on from a scientific perspective, and a very accurate depiction of events.
Firstly hope the players are ok kind of think if this is cancelled it will be the end of the season, kind of think it shouldn’t be cancelled as it’s one of those things , but would t be happy if it was us not sure what they will do re relegation , can’t see it’s fair to relegate the current bottom 3 , Aston Villa have played one less game then everybody else revised prediction cancelled
I found Leicester to be agreeable and with a nice society for the most part. The people were mainly friendly. I enjoyed the beer, the cheap food and the company of locals at the comfortably down at heel and Kremlin -friendly Firebug pub in the centre. There was also another one I went to several times which was an old traditional sort of place. Served Everard's. Very well kept. Can't remember the name of the place. I'm afraid I was very, very drunk.... Both me and Cifriana liked Leicester so much and especially the more mixed and lively society and even more especially the low rent prices, that we thought to throw our bags over our shoulders and move up there. We even looked at houses to rent and schools and so on. I had a job interview at the hospital to become a hospital porter. But in the end it turned out to be a waste of time and of money. It is one thing for poor Aethelred, our eldest, to be called both the N word and the P word here in our cosy Cotswolds Gammon-on-the-Water, but quite another to be referred to as "white boy" by local Leicester alley louts near Lidls. He is still outraged by that today. Also, and fatally for our moving plans, I didn't get the hospital porter job. And I was glad. It turned out not to be a job pushing smiling pensioners around with their leg in a cast as I had fondly imagined. It was pushing corpses to the morgue for 12 hours, day and night, in hobnail boots. Sod that.
Have tried to put a photo of their film posters up but it's too big! Films: 1. Contagion 2. Pandemic 3. Containment 4. Quarantine 5. Outbreak 6. Virus If I can figure a way to resize the photo I will get it up!
children of men , zombieland I never understood with Zombie movies why people don’t they just get a big ship and live on it and if they need to come onto land wear the suit of armour - it makes no fricken sense And as for Walking dead (which I haven’t seen for a while) why is Rick so wet , why didn’t he just hit Negan with the bat when he had a chance
I liked Zombieland, anything with Woody Harrelson in is good watching. If we’re taking ideal scenarios then the 1985 Day of the Dead, one of my favourite zombie films, is the exact opposite of that. Trapped underground? **** that.
If that’s the one that ends with them trapped in a room underground with the zombies outside just about to break in that put the ***** up me and put me of zombie movies for a long time Nastiest horror movie ending of all time however is the Mist , won’t spoil the ending but ****
Premier League statement confirming all games going ahead this weekend: https://www.premierleague.com/news/1645088?sf231435613=1
Definite zombie encroachment and peril towards the end but the protagonists do escape on a helicopter in the end.
It’ll be interesting to see who our quarantined players are. Could be a bit of a B team with Ricardo and Maddison out injured too.
While I appreciate that most of the country is north of Watford the north starts when you get past Nottingham. You’ll know when you get there because everyone insists on referring to the fact that they’re from the north every 0.3 seconds.
And repeatedly pat themselves on the back about how “sound” they are, followed by how much they hate London and the south east. It’s funny though because the north / south divide only exists up north. No one here ever says anything about them because no one gives a ****. They’re irrelevant.
If it’s Ndidi or Evans then you might as well take the three points now.... I’ll have; Matty James Eldin Jakupovic Demarai Grey
Mikel Arteta has tested positive. Despite the PL statement, I really think they will go above and beyond the Govts advice and suspend the league tomorrow. They have to.
‘I’m just a Yorkshire lad/lass’ and ‘I’ve been a Liverpool fan for x years’ trigger the same gag reflex in me.
Hopefully they dock Arsenal points for not fulfilling fixtures. First Wednesday, now likely to be this weekend too.
Their London Conley training base has been closed according to SSN. We are literally next door! Its genuine madness that they think they can carry on.
From my experience, pretty much everyone thinks they live in the south. You cannot trust self-identification. The best test is to walk into a shop with a woman. If the cashier says nothing, nod their head or say “hi” then you’re likely in the south. If they say any of the following: bab, pet, love or duck, or a comment on the weather, then you’re in the north. The north-south divide? Northampton.
There is absolutely no way that this season finishes. This crap isn't even going to peak for another couple of months, minimum. I don't know what the answer is in terms of promotions, relegations etc. but this season is going to end up cancelled.
By your definition I’m well up t’north then. I’m from Loughborough and everyone is me duck/ duckeh there.
