Hes a cross between the long strided, gangly but graceful, powerhouse Patrick Viera and the long strided, gangly and ungraceful workhouse Carlton Palmer.

Although I mainly agree with most of this, I will say Douc's does get forward more than most, and does find himself in goal-scoring situations. Takes yesterday for example, he had our first real chance
and probably should of scored, A bit like when we played Arsenal at the Vic under QSF - he had a glorious chance to win it right at the end and shot straight at their keeper. He is an attacking midfielder afterall,
but I do agree he needs to stop giving the ball away so much. I would much rather see him in front of goal over Success. In addition, his link up play is much better than Bobby's.

That is one game I definitely will not be watching. I can't stand watching them play.

Jesus, Sane and Sterling are cloggers for sure, but De Bruyne scores some nice goals from midfield, shame they always hoof it past him.

That Sterling must have learned his football from Andre Gray, gives defenders something to think about but has serious trouble kicking the ball at times

Think it was a good weekend for us in the end

managed to pull away (slightly) from the bottom 3
drew against a good top 3 side, and didn’t see anything to suggest we can t win against a mid team side
Bournemouth look dreadful (watched most of the game)
    Norwich are pretty much gone
arsenal are a laughing stock (doesn’t help us , but did allow me to take the piss out some of my mates)

need 3 points against Burnley as we can’t keep relying on the teams below us to screw up

    Looks like her.
Wasn’t Emma on national radio yesterday? Her career is thriving and it’s good to have a Hornet in the national media..

Abdoulaye Doucoure? He never gives the ball away.

Agreed he didn’t have a good game yesterday but I still rate him. I like the way he harries and chases opposing players down forcing errors. I think he was looking a bit more rejuvenated in a more forward position under Pearson before the PANDEMIC

I think she is but we also have Kelly Somers in the national media and she's definitely a Hornet.

He gets overrated by outsiders, which kind of means he gets underrated by us, he's probably never gonna be a regular starter for a top top club (sorry Everton), but he's always done well for us

I'd just like to congratulate WFC for making the stadium look great for the game. It was wonderful to see our club's culture, history and passion on display with authentic banners rather than the generic tat some clubs are using.

I do think in terms of Doucoure, his shooting is a tad ridiculous at this point. That effort in the box (not the tame shot straight into the goalie's arms from 5 yards), where he leaned backwards as though doing a limbo and blootered it closer to the corner flag and out of the ground than the goal, is sadly the norm rather than the exception these days, and he often wastes some of our stronger opportunities in doing so. I find it a bit odd no one at the club's recognised this to the point of giving him some extra coaching, especially when they know he's going to be playing in a more advanced role. All too often he turns into the spider-on-rollerskates version of Doucs that we know and outsiders don't.

I hope (but am not confident) that the problem has been with how he has been played , now he’s being given more freedom to go forward he just needs a bit of confidence and then doucs from 2(3 ?) years back should re-emerge.

if this doesn’t happen we are going to kick ourselves for not selling him for £60m (or whatever the bid was)

Not a fun prospect at half time, but with that score this weekend has gone almost as well as was possible for us now outside our own game. Brighton was annoying, but

    A) it should really give us some hope we don't have to be quite so frightened about getting every point possible needed before the final day of the season, because Arsenal were pathetic, and

    B) given the hilarious statistic that Brighton have won just 3 of their last 20 prem games, two of which being against Arsenal, it could still be just some insane hoodoo, and they might just not be safe yet regardless of those lovely 3 points they were handed yesterday.

3 years ago he’d hardly played for Watford. He made his debut in Jan 2017. In 17/18 he went on to be the player of the season. I don't think you’re being funny but you may just be the Nostradamus of football.

Brighton have only lost 1 in 6 though and have a much better goal difference than the teams below them

Late to the party but I thought we did quite well yesterday. Started each half slowly, but grew into both. Should have scored earlier, but then clearly looked knackered. But to comeback into it shows the kind of mentality we've been missing. Previously this season, Pre NP, when we've gone behind it's pretty much game over, under Pearson we never look completely out of the game.

Only slight concern is the fact we dominated large parts of the game without taking our chances. That was the problem under Javi and if it continues we won't stay up.

Whilst I agree to an extent with the second paragraph it was the first game back after a nearly three month hiatus. Had we not created anything I would be worried but I saw enough to convince me that we will give this a good go.

Re Doucoure he’s probably just about the perfect player for us. Not good enough at times, but would only ever be a squad player for a top six team, so we get to keep a player that is about as good as we could hope to.
